Staying at the Grand Boat Hotel for my business trip to Shanghai was a great choice. Xiao Gao at the front desk was exceptionally helpful. The breakfast was delicious, and there was plenty of parking available. It's also very convenient to get to Powerlong Plaza from here. Highly recommend!

The hotel's location is pretty good, right off the Hujin Expressway exit. It's a themed hotel focused on ocean and cruise elements. We booked a deluxe king room, and the room was spacious enough with comfortable air conditioning. However, one of our rooms had issues with the power outlets. Even though the hotel's engineering team came to fix it, it stopped working again after we returned from sightseeing. The room facilities clearly lack basic maintenance. Also, the makeup mirror in room 1510 was installed at an unreasonable height, clearly too low. Even at my height of almost 160cm, I had to bend over. I can't imagine how taller guests would manage! The front desk staff felt like state-owned enterprise employees – not particularly warm, but not shirking their duties either; just mediocre. The only person who made me feel welcome was the staff member at the 6th-floor beer bar during the weekday. She was busy doing everything by herself and still greeted everyone with a smile.

Upon hearing I had an important video conference, the front desk manager proactively arranged for staff to install an additional router in my room and even suggested using the meeting room, among other solutions. They truly understand and anticipate guests' needs. We accidentally left our electric toothbrush and toiletries in the room and couldn't find them initially. After we checked out, the hotel called us and arranged for them to be sent via SF Express. The service was thoughtful, professional, and incredibly smooth. Came to Fengxian for Tomb-Sweeping Day and stayed for a little getaway. I've stayed at this hotel a few times before. The facilities are a bit old, but still decent. The dinner buffet, however, was a bit chaotic. The service couldn't keep up. But mostly, it was due to the sheer 'fighting power' of the aunties dining there. We went down at 6:30 PM, and not only was there hardly any food left, but even finding a seat was tough; three of us had to squeeze around a tiny table. We had a great experience staying at Ship hotel for a long weekend. The kids were so delighted with the boat and nautical theme of the hotel, a big playground, and a nice clean pool. The service was kind and thoughtful, decorating our room and giving us a cake for my daughter’s birthday and providing kids’ amenities. The staff are friendly. It’s a paradise for kids. The cost was not high, but our kids preferred this hotel to many others. The room is a little old but still in good condition and also has nice touches like a ships’ window, ocean shore carpet, and we had a very nice view. Room was clean and bed was comfortable and there was a pillow menu. Good water pressure in the bathroom and nice bathtub. The hotel is also next door to a ecological park which has boat rides, and about a 10 minute drive to paopao park which is a huge, beautiful recreational area with lakes, lots of grass for picnics, bike paths, gardens and a kids play area. We could’ve easily spent 2-3 days just in paopao park alone. We arrived on Friday night and Saturday morning was quiet at breakfast with few people.
