JOYA Hotel Shanghai Lujiazui

Right next to the Lujiazui financial district, with convenient transportation nearby. The room was non-smoking, and we booked a river view room, which offered fantastic views of the Huangpu River, the 'Three-piece Suite' (Lujiazui skyscrapers), and the Bund. Breakfast was plentiful and served until 11 AM on weekends; enjoying brunch on the 26th floor while admiring the river view was incredibly pleasant. Overall service was excellent; the front desk lady, Doris, was very warm, patient, and provided personalized service. Highly recommend!

This was my second stay here after many years, and the hotel is still very well-maintained. The facilities are just as I remember them, and there's no noticeable difference. The room was thoroughly cleaned, and the air conditioning had no strange odors.

I was surprised to find out this is a luxury hotel under HUAZHU. The service, ambiance, and location are all excellent. Breakfast is served on the top floor, which has a great view. If they could just improve the food selection a bit, it would be absolutely perfect.

I booked two rooms at Lujiazui Xiyue this time, and the overall stay was incredibly therapeutic – highly recommend it! The location is right by the Huangpu River in Lujiazui, with a long riverside promenade downstairs, perfect for walks or morning runs. It's also close to the Bund and the Pudong Art Museum, making it very convenient for getting around by taxi. The river view rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows offer an unbeatable panorama, with stunning day and night river views and the captivating night lights of the Lujiazui skyline creating an amazing ambiance. The rooms are clean and elegant, with brand-new, high-end facilities, including a Dyson hairdryer and smart toilet. The bathroom design is practical with a wet and dry separation. I must particularly praise the service; the front desk staff are professional and thoughtful. Employee Brant was gentle and reliable, responding super quickly to any requests – the attention to detail was top-notch. The rooftop breakfast offers a rich variety of Chinese and Western options. Enjoying delicious food while admiring the river view made for an excellent dining experience. It's definitely on my list for a return visit!

I'm not bothered by checking off popular spots, but the 'blue hour' by the window in my room was incredibly therapeutic 🌌. No need to deliberately find a good photo spot; just sitting there and relaxing in the evening was lovely. The value for money is excellent, costing 1,100 RMB per night. In the heart of Lujiazui, this hotel's amenities truly outclass others in its price range. 🍃 [Ambiance | Chinese minimalist, clean, and spacious] The overall style is new Chinese minimalist, with sophisticated and elegant color schemes. Both the public areas and guest rooms are new, tidy, and spacious. There are no superfluous decorations, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and calming, making it particularly suitable for business trips, relaxation, and quiet work. 🛁 [Hardware | High-spec amenities with attention to detail] All essential amenities are top-notch; no need to compromise: ▪️ Smart heated, fully automatic toilet, providing a fantastic experience. ▪️ Dyson hairdryer as standard, no need to bring your own. ▪️ Soft and thick bedding on the large bed ensures a stable and comfortable sleep. ▪️ Food delivery robot brings orders directly to the room, private and convenient. 🍴 [Facilities | No shortcomings for dining and transportation] The hotel has a Xin Rong Ji restaurant on the 25th floor, so no need to venture out for meals. Daily transportation is super convenient; taxis are usually around 10 RMB. It's a 5-minute walk to the riverside promenade 🌬️. There are plenty of cafes downstairs, perfect for an evening stroll or morning run. You can relax and unwind even while on business. 💁🏻‍♂️ [Service | Beyond expectations, attentive and thoughtful] The service throughout was gentle and appropriate, neither forced nor perfunctory. We were also treated to an exclusive afternoon tea on the 26th floor 🍰. The dessert selection was exquisite and never disappoints. Sitting by the window to chat and take photos during downtime made for some lovely, high-quality shots. Absolutely no complaints; this is definitely a hidden gem of a business hotel in Lujiazui. It has now been added to my regular list for Shanghai business trips. I'll be booking this one again next time! ✅

The beds and pillows were incredibly uncomfortable. Breakfast was also terrible, and to top it off, there was only one elevator to the breakfast area, which was out of order. We had to use the service stairs to get there.

The service at Lujiazui Xiyue was an absolute surprise, a huge shout-out to Summer! She was incredibly gentle and polite, and her work was professional and reliable. She always helped resolve any issues promptly and paid great attention to detail. The hotel's river view was absolutely stunning, the environment was quiet and clean, and getting around was super convenient. It was such a healing stay, I definitely have to give Summer a big thumbs up!
