Crystal Orange Shanghai the Bund Yu Garden Hotel

This stay exceeded my expectations! Check-in at the front desk was quick and efficient, the room was spotless, and the staff were incredibly friendly and polite. Any issues I had were resolved immediately, and their attention to detail was exceptional. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in town!

Had an unexpected layover at Hongqiao Airport, so I booked a hotel here to explore the area a bit. The staff, especially the guy at the front desk, was really nice and upgraded us to a room with a balcony. The surroundings are great too. When we asked for extra blankets, a cleaning staff member promptly brought them up.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, being close to Yu Garden and Metro Line 14, and also conveniently near the Bund, making it super easy to get around. The rooms are spotless and well-arranged. Breakfast offers a wide variety of options and tastes great. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Overall, a fantastic stay.

Booking this hotel was absolutely the right call! I was traveling solo with a 12-year-old and a 3.5-year-old, bravely exploring Shanghai. After a tiring day at Disneyland, we were exhausted, but I still wanted to leisurely explore the Bund the next day. I saw this hotel had great reviews online, and when we arrived, the staff's attitude was simply wonderful. I hadn't realized I booked a 1.5-meter bed, which wouldn't fit three of us, so they kindly upgraded us to a deluxe king room (1.8 x 2 meters) free of charge. The room wasn't quite big enough, so they again moved us to a much larger room with a walk-in closet and big windows overlooking the street. With my 3.5-year-old, we could stroll to the Bund in about 10 minutes, which was perfect for me! Even though it rained a bit that day, I went to the Bund twice to see both the daytime and nighttime views! A special shout-out again to the amazing staff. At checkout, they not only gave me directions to Hongqiao High-Speed Railway Station but also helped me with the map. Seeing me with two kids, they even gave us lots of White Rabbit candy and some New Year snacks, all from Sam's Club – the kids loved them! These small gestures truly warmed my heart. Our high-speed train was at 10 AM, right during rush hour, and I was worried about traffic from the hotel to Hongqiao, but we arrived smoothly in about 40 minutes. It was truly a fantastic trip!

This was my first time staying at Orange Hotel with my child, and the room exceeded my expectations. The environment is beautiful and it's very clean. It's right next to the subway entrance, which is super convenient, and there are lots of food options downstairs. A great stay overall!

The staff were all very professional and kind. I appreciate the hotel upgrading me to a room with an opening window, though the three rooms were still quite far apart. The hotel suffers from some common issues, like not being able to heat the rooms properly, even though the hallway of the neighboring brand hotel was warm. Let me highlight a few typical pros and cons. The pros are: excellent breakfast, much better than next door; the tea set was lovely, I really liked it; and the hotel's decor is a bit nicer than the neighboring one. The cons are: the laundry service is self-service only with no assistance; the hotel layout isn't independent, and it's ridiculous that you need a card to access the lobby restrooms, which makes the hotel feel cheap and of poor quality. Considering the price was quite reasonable, it's probably an above-average stay overall.
