The room I stayed in was one of several suites separated by a main entrance. The cleanliness of the common area inside the entrance was only so-so, while the room itself was acceptable. Because the suites were grouped together, the soundproofing was terrible. The guests next door returned in the early morning, and I could clearly hear them walking around and making clanging noises. If you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend staying in a hotel. It's worth noting that guesthouses don't clean during your stay; if that bothers you, please refrain from booking.

This isn't my first time staying here. It's truly a hidden gem in Shanghai. WARNING ⚡️It's very difficult to get inside. You need to contact them through WeChat, and they'll send you instructions with a check-in code, etc. Call them through your Chinese friends. They'll then give you check-in instructions directly. I'm attaching a screenshot from the video of the entrance door—but without contacting them and the code, this won't help you.
