The room isn't huge, but the river view is fantastic. The room amenities, especially the lighting, bed, and pillows, are excellent, and the TV supports screen mirroring, which is a nice touch. I visited both the ground floor restaurant and the executive lounge on the seventh floor. The ground floor restaurant has a great atmosphere and is quite popular. The breakfast on the seventh floor is better than their afternoon tea and happy hour dinner. The swimming pool is large, very clean, and features lane lines with blue water, plus plenty of lifeguards. I did encounter two minor issues: it took quite a while for my luggage to be delivered initially, requiring several calls to the front desk, and the in-room landline wasn't working when I checked in. Also, the locker key at the swimming pool didn't work properly. However, the staff were all very proactive in communicating and resolving these issues. P.S. I was pleasantly surprised when the front desk gave me tickets to an equestrian competition upon checkout. It turned out to be a great opportunity to watch a high-level Shanghai Equestrian Masters event!

Every year, I celebrate my birthday at a luxury hotel in Shanghai. This time, I chose the Shangri-La Qiantan, Shanghai, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. The hotel is located in Qiantan Center, right next to the Taikoo Li commercial district and a subway station, making it convenient for shopping, dining, and getting around. For this stay, I booked a Horizon Club room. Eileen from the lounge confirmed my itinerary and needs in advance, helping me arrange birthday decorations and an extra bed for my child, making the check-in process smooth and seamless. I stayed on the 26th floor. The room was spacious, and the facilities were relatively new and functional. The sofa bed was particularly suitable for families with two children, providing ample space without feeling cramped. The room was incredibly quiet at night, except for the occasional door closing next door, which was perfect for a light sleeper like me. I also enjoyed three meals at the Horizon Club, and the service was outstanding. Even with the large number of guests during the National Day holiday, everything was well-organized. They even had holiday decorations and prepared gifts for the children, which was a very thoughtful touch. I will definitely consider staying here again for my birthday next year.

This established brand is truly reliable. The staff are very welcoming, and I love the old Shanghai style. The in-room direct drinking water dispenser is very convenient, as are the wireless chargers inside the bedside tables. The mirror in the shower room is a unique touch, and the water pressure is great. The city view overlooks Taikoo Li and the Oriental Sports Center, and the surrounding commercial district is easily accessible. The gym facilities are good. The pool was a bit crowded in the evening, and the water was slightly murky, so I swam during the morning session instead. The super-long sofa in the room is fantastic; two people can comfortably lie down on it side-by-side. On the day of checkout, at 7:15 AM, the TV in my room automatically turned on while I was still asleep, which was quite startling (I wonder if a remote control in the next room accidentally triggered it?). Although it opened in 2021, the room design and amenities are still very advanced. Overall, it was a very good stay.

An excellent accommodation choice, highly recommended! The front desk staff were efficient, clear-thinking, warm, and polite. The location is great, right next to Taikoo Li Qiantan, close to the subway station and Crystal Plaza Qiantan. There are good options for dining, shopping, and family activities. The performing arts center nearby also hosts various shows. The room was comfortable, and the high-floor view was fantastic. Due to my itinerary, I didn't get to experience the gym or swimming pool. The breakfast selection was sufficiently rich, and it was great that there were no long queues during the National Day holiday. All the service staff were warm and polite. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai.

I can't believe I got a suite upgrade as a white-tier member! The corner suite views were amazing, thank you so much 🥹 to Shangri-La Qiantan. I was having a really emo day, but my mood instantly improved. Seriously, thank you for cheering me up! The service was also great; I arrived early and even had some snacks and coffee at the Horizon Club. 🥰 Everything else was pretty good, except the afternoon tea and happy hour food were just okay. There wasn't much variety in the food or drinks, and they only had one special cocktail. That could definitely be improved. Breakfast, however, was delicious – I loved the waffles! I originally planned to just relax all day, but after the suite upgrade, I immediately got up, put on makeup, and went shopping at Taikoo Li 🛍️. I ended up going three times, hitting over 10,000 steps! It's so convenient to get to Taikoo Li from here!

This was my second stay, and they even upgraded me to a larger room. Very thoughtful!~ It's also super convenient if you're coming from Disney; you can get there in just 25 minutes. You don't even need to book breakfast; just head to Taikoo Li and pick a coffee shop, it's so easy. Or wait until 10:30 and take the kids to Din Tai Fung. If you don't have a specific hotel you're dying to check out, I highly recommend this one, Shangri-La Qiantan, Shanghai. The price and location are both perfect.

The room was nice, and the sofa could be converted into a sofa bed. The bathroom had a small stool for children to stand at the sink, which made the room quite family-friendly. The buffet was delicious, and the restaurant service was excellent. However, a planned children's activity was canceled due to supposedly wet ground, but it looked pretty dry to me, so I'm not sure what happened there. On the upside, Taikoo Li is right across the street, making shopping very convenient.

The hotel is conveniently located near Taikoo Li and a subway station, making transportation easy. The rooms are clean and tidy, with practical designs and well-maintained facilities. All staff members provide warm and professional service. A special thanks goes to the female chef at the Executive Lounge who speaks Shanghainese; her proactive and warm service made us feel right at home. This is our second stay, and we feel our choice was definitely the right one.

The soundproofing in the room is excellent, ensuring a very quiet sleep. However, the bathroom ventilation is truly lacking; the odor persists! I've stayed here four or five times already, and this issue seems to pop up almost every time. Also, could you please put a mattress pad under the sofa bed? It's just a sheet directly on the sofa, which makes sleeping quite uncomfortable. And this is the first hotel I've stayed in where everything in the minibar, except water, is chargeable – all the soft drinks and snacks. While the service is still good, there are more and more good hotels appearing in Qianyao, so I might consider other options next time.

I took my child to Qiantan for a visit during the Mid-Autumn Festival and checked out a few hotels beforehand. The Shangri-La Qiantan has an excellent location, right next to Qiantan Taikoo Li, and close to Qiantan Leisure and Sports Park. There are also countless dining options at Taikoo Li. The service at the hotel was first-class from the moment we checked in. Whether it was the front desk, the breakfast staff, or the executive lounge attendants, everyone was enthusiastic and responsive to guests' requests. The hotel parking garage is also very convenient and spacious! The hotel's restaurants offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Dining and parking are definite advantages of this hotel. The swimming pool is better equipped and serviced than most hotels, and my child absolutely loved it. It truly lives up to its reputation as an outstanding hotel in Qiantan, and I highly recommend it to friends visiting Shanghai who want to explore Qiantan and the Expo Park! There are many foreign guests at the hotel, including plenty of business and tour groups.

Such a nice touch! The room was everything 👇 🛏️ Huge room, huge bed — so comfortable 📺 Two TVs — one in the living room, one in the bedroom 🚿 Two separate showers — no waiting, no fighting 🛋️ Full living room, plus a big fridge and a dining table, which made everything so convenient 👨👩👧👦 This room is honestly perfect for a family with kids — so much space to spread out Breakfast was delicious, with a great selection and beautifully presented dishes 🍳 What really stood out — all the staff members speak English and were incredibly helpful throughout my stay. The swimming pool is spotlessly clean 🧜♀️ and there's a jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room. After a swim, soaking in the jacuzzi was pure bliss. I had a truly great stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel to my friends. Shangri-La Qiantan, I'll be back ✨

The soundproofing in this hotel is really terrible. There's a connecting door between rooms, and I could hear everything the people next door were saying when they came back around 1 AM. It was so clear, I didn't sleep well all night! It was so disruptive! I definitely need to avoid this place in the future.

The location is very convenient, and I always stay here. Eva and Ruby at the front desk are enthusiastic and thoughtful 👍🏻; they always arrange everything for me in advance. I'm very satisfied.

The Pudong Shangri-La is fantastic! It's super close to the Sports Center, so you can just walk to shows. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable. The breakfast had a great variety, both Chinese and Western, and it all tasted good. The room view was amazing, with a wide-open view from the floor-to-ceiling windows and a captivating nightscape. The service was attentive, and the overall experience was perfect. Highly recommended!
