The best thing about this property is its location. The room looks like shown in the picture but only they didn't show you the negative sides of the property. The property was adapted and modified, turned into a nice looking room but that was just a shell. The room was ABSOLUTELY NOT sound-proof AT ALL. By that I mean I could hear every conversation and foot steps from the neighbors. The room was in a pretty bad conditions as well. Kitchen equipments were rusty. The rest room was small, right next to the street which there was a window, covered by a sheet of thick silver plastic. The toilet was almost couldn't be flushed. But that was not the worst part. The worst part that I couldn't stand was the bed. The bed was put on the loft shown in the picture. If you notice the white blinds right at the top of the bed. Behind it was a black cover which I don't know what is behind it but from time to time there will be smell out of it and it was a bad smell. Like you were sleeping right next to a ventilator. That was the reason I left the property only after 1 hour of checking in with only 1 hour sleep I still couldn't get any sleep with all the noises and smells. I was too upset to take any photo. I was in a hurry to find a new room and left immediately.

Nice spacious place to stay. Was a comfy bed as well. Only issue I would say is that it feels very damp in the accomodation. Bathroom doesn’t seem to have great ventilation, combined with the dryer it makes the place quite damp, smell and feel wise. Was fine when we had warm days but wouldn’t be great if it’s cold.

Location was great, owner added us on WeChat and was very responsive. Apartment was small/cozy but didn’t really bother us and bed was very comfy. Check in was easy

The location is fantastic and the host is very helpful and responsive. The apartment is in a traditional long tang style complex and a great way to experience more local / traditional Shanghai.

The place was very clean and comfortable, with an excellent location. The host was highly responsive and provided helpful answers to all my questions. I would highly recommend staying here.
