Yu Garden Area
The hotel is a bit outdated and not to well taken care of. Service at the reception was not really welcoming. However the location is nice if you wanna visit the beautiful Yu Garden or walk to the Bond. The roof-top bar offers an amazing view, but seems nobody knows! Definitely should have a drink there.

Jing'an District/West Nanjing Road
The position is great , close to Jing an, 20 steps from subway and Kerry center , this was one of the best hotel in shanghai , now the hotel is under the Accor hotels group and the service, especially for loyalty members, become worst and not with European touch like it was in the past , the breakfast now it’s really poor compare with the previews years

Jing'an District/West Nanjing Road
The hotel staff gave my family a great first impression of the hotel further adding & cementing its reputable name. This kicked off with the luggage staff who recorded the number of bags to ensure no items were left in the taxi. We were then escorted to the hotel front desk, however, it was an extremely busy line but we were greeted really well by Peggy (front desk) who I can say is one of the most fluent english speakers from all the 4 hotels Ive stayed from Hangzhou to Shanghai. However, entering the hotel room, there was mould in the shower & given a room with a poor view as we were staying for our final 4 nights in Shanghai. Having requested for a room change we were moved to another room on the level higher, much better!. Great decorations in the lobby (CNY) and hotel is very accessible to nearby landmarks, eateries (Jiu Guang, Din Tai Fung and the Pizza Shop) and other shops. I am a photographer so I was able to snap up a few good shots around Jingan & Xintiandi as well as some shots from the hotel. If you would like to see the photos of the hotel, message me as I cannot upload these photos here as they are greater than 2mb. We were given a letter written by Peggy on two occasions which was really nice of her & given amenities. Overall, a great experience but Id like to especially mention Peggy on her 6-star service, definitely a valued member for the hotel & would be sort after by many other 5 star hotels! There are however some recommendations/issues I believe should be outlined: firstly, I believe the hotel needs to replace their outdated tv screens with more modern technology. Secondly, I believe although i gave the service a 5/5, housekeeping needs to improve on their service especially with keeping their volume lower while guests are resting and also being prompt when asked to clean the room. Thank you!

Huaihai Road Area/Xintiandi Area
The hotel is so far so good but a little old, also the service from most of service representatives, even at executive lounge. Should have room for improvement.
