Overall, the room itself wasn't a major issue. The front desk initially upgraded my room, but that room was extremely damp, poorly lit, and the bed felt quite moist. When I informed the front desk, they promptly moved me to a room across the hall. I noticed that northwest-facing rooms tend to be damp but are more spacious, while southeast-facing ones are sunny but relatively smaller. My new room had a very comfortable and huge bed, easily 2.2 meters wide. The soundproofing was excellent; despite being next to a main road, there was absolutely no noise. The concierge at the entrance was also very friendly and actively helped with my luggage. I found this hotel to be particularly suitable for business travelers. Many exhibition attendees stay here, and a lot of airline crew members also use it for rest. As a result, you'll find quite a few international guests.

It's a lovely accommodation and it looked exactly like as it's shown on trip.com.
The cleanliness is good.
The location is spectacular. Just outside of down town feeling. Many locals. Crazy energy. Nice and busy. hotpots all around. And on ground floor there's a big surprise. The most amazing karaoke joint imaginable.
Had the impression that the ladies behind the reception didn't like me so much already from check in. Was it really necessary to give a bald headed man two hair combs? That was very rude in my experience and maybe I don't speak any form of Chinese, but it was kind of sinister to talk bad behind my back. I didn't make me feel very comfy. But never the less, thank you for the necessary upgrade, there where the air conditioner functioned as it it had rain clouds in it. Hopefully the technical issue is repaired now.
I'm still happy with my booking and I look back on a very nice stay.

The room was comfortable and clean. Size was good for solo traveler or couples with short stay. Staff was nice and helpful. Wifi required local phone number to register so the front desk was helping me to connect with her phone number. Walking to metro is around 8 mins. Hotel was surrounded by restaurants and small shops. You might hear some sounds through thin walls but i could sleep peacefully with my earplugs. Would come back to stay again 👍🏻

The room looks exactly like the pictures – I really love the simple yet elegant decor. Front desk agent Xiao Wang provided excellent service. All the facilities are great, and it's exceptionally clean, making for a worry-free stay. The location is convenient for transportation. The air conditioning was nice and cool. Great hotel. 10-15 minutes walk from metro. Staff are nice. Breakfast is good. Air conditioning works great (see note below about turning on)
Complaints: the coffee machine keep running out of water and so does the milk jar - have to ask staff to refill it. My room's air conditioner in Chinese and touchpad is abit finicky to turn in (I have to press function button, then switch button but it takes a few goes). My rooms shower water flow pressure doesn't seem to be controlable, it's press a button, so there is LOTS of water and it's loud.

The room is large and comfortable. If there is enough space, it is recommended to add an extra chair or a small dining table and chairs for eating. The cleanliness of the rooms for consecutive stays needs to be improved. There is no refrigerator in the room, no socket near the washbasin, and no place to plug in the generator when you want to use it. There are snack bars and convenience stores across the road, which is very convenient.

This stay completely exceeded my expectations! The hotel's location is superb; it's a 5-minute walk to the subway station, and there are plenty of dining options and shopping areas nearby. The room was spacious and bright, and the cleanliness was impeccable – every corner was spotless. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. From the concierge proactively helping with luggage, to the front desk efficiently handling check-in and patiently recommending sightseeing routes, to the prompt room service, every staff member greeted us with a smile, making us feel incredibly welcome. The breakfast offered a rich variety, blending Western and Chinese options, including local specialties. The value for money was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend!

The service here is truly excellent! The front desk staff are incredibly welcoming, making you feel right at home. The laundry facilities on the second floor are also very well-equipped and convenient to use, which is a huge bonus for travelers. Pudong Airport is about 45 kilometers from downtown and handles most international flights. You can get to the city by metro, an airport bus, or if you’re feeling fancy, the Maglev Train—it’s fast and kinda cool!
On the other hand, Shanghai Hongqiao airport is just 15 kilometers from the city center and mostly deals with domestic flights. You’ve got metro lines 2 and 10 to zip you straight to city.

GGuest UserFirst of all, the location is fantastic. It's right at the Changshou Road subway station. It couldn't be closer, right outside the hotel. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night snacks are all available nearby, and there are at least two 24-hour FamilyMarts nearby.
The hotel is fully equipped with washing machines and dryers. It's spotlessly clean and tidy. While it might not look impressive from the outside, the inside is truly delightful, with no odors. The front desk is friendly, and the cleaning ladies are incredibly nice. You can even leave your clothes for them to wash!
It really feels like home!

SSCXXI stayed solo for 10 days at JI Hotel (Shanghai Changshou Road North Shaanxi Road Hotel) while attending a course and was a bit worried at first about staying in the same room so long — but it turned out wonderful!
The hotel is very clean, spacious, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. One of the coolest things was the robot service that delivers food, parcels, or even paper directly to your room.
They also have a self-service laundry room where I could easily wash and dry my clothes, so I didn’t have to pack too much. For extra convenience, they even offer laundry service if you prefer not to do it yourself.
The hotel itself is quite large, with long corridors, but everything is systematic and organized. I’ll definitely stay here again when I return to Shanghai!

LLigujiangStaying here during the National Day holiday. I used to see the Gujing Holiday Inn often when I worked nearby, so I decided to give it a try. I forgot to add a note requesting a room away from the elevator, as I'm sensitive to noise. My friend checked in before me, and when I arrived, I found we were given room 1301, right next to the elevator. I thought, 'Oh well, the hallway seems quiet enough.' Little did I know, shortly after, loud operatic singing started coming from the room next door, right by the head of the bed. The soundproofing is terrible!
The bathroom is quite small, and the shower is in the bathtub, requiring you to step in and pull a shower curtain. This feels a bit outdated. After showering, I noticed a significant height difference between the bathtub and the floor, which could be a tripping hazard for elderly guests.
The Wi-Fi signal wasn't great.
The mattress was very firm, and the sheets and duvet cover felt a bit damp and uncomfortable.
On the plus side, they provided six complimentary bottles of Xiquan mineral water, which was a generous amount.
The breakfast was surprisingly abundant, with noodle stations and omelets. However, there was no one tending to the hot water for tea, although the coffee machine milk was regularly refilled.

KKoJustinI was upgraded to a room with a window, for free, which I am grateful for. So the hotel is conveniently located near Changshou station, less than a five minute walk. It's definitely one of the better hotels I've stayed in in Shanghai at this price point, all things considered. The TV may not be as large as some other places but the bed was very comfortable and the room was also pretty spacious. I'm quite satisfied especially given the room upgrade.

The housekeeper contacted me in advance before check-in and gave me a very detailed check-in guide, including the subway and parking lot. Their home is in a single-family apartment building. It is better to recognize the check-in guide.
This time I changed the toilet and bedding, and the bedding was replaced with a mattress, which was very good; the bath towels and towels were replaced with thicker ones, and the number was more than before;
The construction foundation of the Jade Buddha Temple downstairs has been completed, and there is no big movement. It seems that the construction time has been delayed in the morning. The morning is basically very quiet.
The style of their room is quite a lot, the overall design is more, and the boss can listen to the opinions of the tenants, and change it if you know the mistakes.

MM35746****For a standard room costing just over 200 RMB in this location, it offers excellent value for money. While the facilities are a bit dated, it's clean and hygienic. The shower pressure is great, and the water is very hot. Conveniently located downstairs, bus routes 113 and 76 are nearby. The 113 bus reaches Shanghai Railway Station in just two stops. A short walk further to Changshou Road provides even more bus options. Within a 400-meter walk, you'll find Exit 3 of Jiangning Road Metro Station (Line 13). If you're on a tight budget, this place is definitely worth considering.
