Grand Mercure Shanghai Century Park

Pudong New International Expo Center/World Expo Area Shanghai|2km from Shanghai Xinhua Continuing Education College (Boshan East Road)
As per certain reviews, location of hotel is generally convenient but not really near the metro station (as indicated) considered within the Pudong business district. Traffic seems light throughout the day + free parking space provided + retail shops and restaurants surrounding the site made up for whatever disadvantages. First thing you’ll notice (for most people I guess) is the staff’s attitude/ attention standards when checking in, also their speedy response when approaching housekeeping and then the breakfast service in the mornings are all pretty good. An above average breakfast experience means 1) varieties of food 2) comfortable environment 3) overall hygiene, including those of cutleries and their attentiveness to clearing the plates/ tables. Thumbs up for almost every area, not forgetting the tiny gym plus outdoor pool (although water not heated but warm enough during summer) except for the rooms looked “a little tired” (as mentioned earlier by others) due to the age of the building and the only unacceptable two items: pillows are “too soft” and insufficient (selection of) channels on the television! Still cannot understand why (even for during our last outing at one of Hampton, digital media was not available) at this current moment of time, I expect more from a five-star rated operator.

Atour S Hotel Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower

Atour S Hotel Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower

Lujiazui Area Shanghai|1.67km from Shanghai Xinhua Continuing Education College (Boshan East Road)
After comparing several hotels, I chose Atour at Oriental Pearl among Atour S, Crystal Orange, and other hotels. It’s still two subway stops away from the Oriental Pearl Tower, and because it’s an independent building, you can’t see the Pearl. Haha. The guys and girls at the front desk were very enthusiastic and provided hot water and tea every time I asked about it. The room we stayed in on the first day was noisy, so we changed rooms after communication. I stayed in Shanghai for 2 days and 3 nights. Because 3 of us had a membership, we got breakfast for a few days. The breakfasts in the hotels all tasted pretty much the same, but the toppings in this noodle soup were quite delicious. There are also water and drinks in this small refrigerator, including sugar-free ones. They cater to all groups and ensure 6 bottles of water every day. There is a washing machine and dryer on the second floor, which is free to use. It looks very hygienic. I happened to meet the cleaning lady and she greeted her very warmly. The hotel's air conditioner heats up quickly. It is worth mentioning that I usually bring disposable bedding when traveling in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, mainly because I am afraid of being uncomfortable when sleeping due to moisture, but this hotel is not bad and I did not feel any discomfort. 👍 In summary, if you are struggling with the same price range, you can consider this one.

Hanting Hotel (Minsheng Road Metro Station, Lujiazui)
4.8/5736 Reviews
Lujiazui Area
The room is okay, but the disposable items are not as good as those in Hangzhou and Suzhou. Hanting is a chain. Why are the quality of disposable items so uneven? This is still Shanghai. The plastic edges of the comb are so sharp that I almost scratched them. Broken scalp. Very outrageous. Some people kept knocking on the wall in the middle of the night, which frightened the sisters who were traveling with me and got up in the middle of the night to make iron chains.
Yuan · Smart Hotel (Shanghai Pudong Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone Beiyangjing Subway Station)

The hotel environment is very good and the location is very advantageous. The hotel is directly opposite the LLCM Plaza. There are many restaurants nearby and the transportation is convenient. The service attitude of Xiao Wang at the front desk is very good, very professional and enthusiastic. The room is clean and well-lit, and the infrastructure is also good. It is fully equipped and there is a security guard patrolling the building in the middle of the night, which gives you a sense of security! I can recommend it to my friends!
