Metropolitan Seclusive Life In Wukang rd Shanghai

Huaihai Road Area/Xintiandi Area Shanghai|0.87km from Soong Ching Ling Memorial Residence
It's our 1st time staying in Seclusive, and we chose to celebrate my 50th birthday here (we're from Singapore). In our 6 days trip in Shanghai, this is the 3rd hotel we've stayed for 3 nights. We booked 2 rooms - a suite and a king-sized bedroom. Talk about the downside first. The suite (on the 2nd floor) is spacious with a terrace, however the king-sized bedroom (on the ground floor) was extremely small, it will not be suitable if you're a 6 footer at all (you'd probably be knocking your knee to alot of things). Since it is an old structured building, the sewerage system is no good (toilets in both our rooms were choked and needed attention). The staircase to the level 2 was really steep with uneven carpet. They should also plan to hire more (& younger) housekeeping staff as cleaning up the rooms takes longer than expected, we waited on the day of check-in as well as when we were out for lunch (2 hours). Now on the good things! Location is great as it is walking distance to alot of shops, cafes, restaurants. We reckon that this is a 'hot' and 'social influencer' locality with lotsa crowd taking photos and vids. What made the stay MOST PLEASANT and MEMORABLE is the staff named Ace, true to his name - he was truly a superstar with top-notch service and attitude, the type you'd think never exist in this world! From settling the laundry (with an external vendor), booking cars, restaurants reservations, birthday-surprise decor to the room, all coordination with external vendors and many more! Last but not least - with a bright smile at all times! If at all we decide to be back, its only because of Ace!

Capella Shanghai Jian Ye Li

Capella Shanghai Jian Ye Li

Hengshan Road Area Shanghai|1.16km from Soong Ching Ling Memorial Residence
Located in the bustling business district of Xuhui, Capella is much better than the ones in Hainan! It's quiet in the middle of the hustle and bustle, making it very convenient to go out for a walk or ride a bike. Although the design of the small five-story building is climbed up and down, the functional areas are indeed divided very well. The sanitation and cleaning are good. Both bathrooms and toilets are smart and have heating functions. They are very friendly to friends who come to Shanghai in the winter. The audio-visual room does not disturb teammates who want to sleep. The light shading in the room is excellent and the sound insulation is very good. , it was quite quiet all night (but I don’t know if it was because there were few or no neighboring guests), which was appreciated by teammates who suffer from insomnia. The service is also very good. From the time of check-in, every employee takes the initiative to say hello, greets you with a smile, and responds quickly to requests. As for breakfast, I think it can be improved. Breakfast is a la carte service and can be ordered and delivered to the room. I went to the restaurant to eat, but my expectations may have been too high. I felt that the product that day was not at an excellent level, and the staff did not feel very busy. Why do I always have to ask for more tea? Haha... The last unhappy thing is that because I like their body wash, I bought it for home use, but I forgot to check it in when I boarded the plane, and the security personnel took it away in vain😭😭😭I will bring my children back next time, continue. Keep up the service level!

It is very convenient to check in at the Wukang Building next door. You can just go out and feel the charm of the magical city. The location is indeed perfect. The room is very warmly decorated, and the feather lamp above the bed adds a great atmosphere!
Nanying Hotel

The bed was terrible, but the location was 300 meters from Shanghai library. Its a great location if you want to travel into jingan or Lujuazui. They offered water, clean towels and the staff was nice. The bathroom was a bit small, but it had a tub. Basically the bed was the worst. Also no TV.
City Courtyard Homestay

Hengshan Road Area
Sure enough, as the name is taken. City Yin, big hidden in the city. This is the most different urban homestay I have ever stayed in. This big yard, this big fireplace, lying in the sun in the afternoon, listening to the sound of running water, emptying yourself, enjoying the moment. This can no longer be simply called a homestay, a paradise in the city center. The landlord is very polite, and I am embarrassed to take one bite of you. All my questions are answered in seconds. The bed was very comfortable and there was a fragrance in the room. The key is that sleeping is particularly quiet, which is what I care about the most. Come live again in two weeks.

The room is too beautiful, and it is an old Shanghai bungalow, very emotional. The location is also very good, Soong Qingling's former residence, Wukang Building are nearby, and the subway is very convenient. The most important thing is that it is very clean, the bathroom is newly renovated, and there is a smart toilet. I will live in your home in the future.

The location is very good! Every room and bathroom are very clean and the lighting is very beautiful. The landlord's service is very thoughtful and enthusiastic, and people have been responding to our needs in a timely manner in the field. Would recommend a good listing to friends!
上海極居特色民宿(2號店)
4.6/56 Reviews
Hengshan Road Area
Let's talk about transportation first: the residence is 300 meters away from Wukang Building and 5 minutes from Jiaotong University Station on Metro Line 10 and Line 11. It means: it's easy to go everywhere. Let's talk about the living experience: the house is one of the typical 72 tenants in a group of old houses (or villas of a century or so, or houses in the Red Age). Although public facilities cannot be upgraded due to historical conditions, the indoor environment is still remarkable. 1. Adequate lighting: the light from the two glass windows makes the blue of the room fresher. 2. Good gout: The bathroom is small and complete, with windows, screens, and no peculiar smell. 3. The mattress is comfortable. It's neither hard nor soft, just what you need. Disadvantages: Insufficient drying, it is recommended to install a stainless steel telescopic clothesline in the shower room. Other bonus items: The host is super nice and communication is not hindered. Go straight to the left and go straight for 50 meters. There are Xisduo convenience store, Yuanyuan restaurant and good coffee. Life is convenient.
