Bandu Anada Wilderness Luxury Resort (Shangri-La Branch)

Highly recommend this guesthouse! First off, the surroundings are absolutely stunning – every view is like a Windows desktop background. Both the public areas and the rooms are designed with such thoughtful detail; my camera just didn't stop clicking. Secondly, there are so many activities. We went mushroom picking (super fun, and we even lucked out and found three matsutake mushrooms!), horseback riding, and fed the adorable pets. You can also do travel photography, crafts at the bookstore, and there's a bonfire night. You'll never get bored, even if you just stay at the guesthouse. There are also several cute cats and a super friendly Golden Retriever. When we checked out, my child kept saying they wanted to take the dog home. The Golden Retriever seemed reluctant to see us go too, chasing the car for a bit before turning back. The bedding also deserves a special mention; anyone with neck problems really needs a latex memory foam pillow – I wish every guesthouse would provide them! The oxygen supply in the room wasn't just for show; none of us experienced altitude sickness here. Five-star rating, we'll definitely come back next time we're in Shangri-La!

The butler service was excellent, and the environment was also very good. The only issue was that the room was very cold on the first night. The underfloor heating was hydronic, which heats up slowly, and it felt like the temperature wasn't rising. After I reported it the next day, they adjusted the temperature, and it finally warmed up. The hotel offers a lot of activities and has many small animals; the cats are adorable. We tried mushroom picking in the mountains, but most of them had already been picked at the foot of the mountain. We only managed to gather a tiny amount after about three to four hours of walking back and forth. If we wanted to go further up the mountain, it would probably take six or seven hours.

Perfect for families with kids! My children absolutely adored the hotel dog, Mubei. The environment is fantastic, with grassland and animals visible right from the balcony. You can even feed alpacas, sika deer, and lambs, which the kids loved. They also enjoyed the mushroom picking experience in the back hills. A special thanks to our hotel guide, Xiaolu, who took great care of both children during the hike and was a big hit with them. We'll definitely bring the kids back for another vacation if we get the chance!

I rarely leave reviews, but this time, I truly felt so happy staying here. It's probably the most satisfying accommodation experience I've had in the past two years. The room facilities were very new, clean, and tidy. The staff had an excellent service attitude, making it feel just like home. There were also many small animals to feed, and you could even rent ******* clothes for free for a photoshoot. The photographer was very skilled, and we were extremely pleased with the photos! They also had many local handmade souvenirs; my friend and I even spent 800 RMB on them, but it felt totally worth it!! Five-star review, no doubt.

The staff are incredibly enthusiastic, and the rooms are fantastic. The overall atmosphere is super pleasant, perfect for a staycation. Plus, there are adorable people, cats, and dogs!

This hotel offers a ton of activities; it's just play and eat, and the day flies by. I've stayed in many luxury hotels, and the service here rivals, if not surpasses, many of them – truly amazing value for money! The environment is comfortable and quiet, and you can feed alpacas and deer up close, making it perfect for a getaway.

Traveling with kids, this homestay is incredibly spacious, like a grand estate with its own pasture. The overall environment is fantastic; you could easily spend an entire day just enjoying the property. The kids absolutely loved picking mushrooms and interacting with the deer, alpacas, horses, dogs, and cats. There's even a bonfire party in the evening, making it a wonderful choice for a relaxing getaway.

A truly delightful 'wild luxury' hotel. The scenery is beautiful, the service is excellent, and the dinner at the restaurant was unexpectedly exquisite and delicious! Highly recommended!

This hotel is perfect for a vacation! The kids were so entertained, I didn't even have to watch them. There are deer and alpacas to see, and you can even pick mushrooms. My children had an absolute blast, and we'll definitely be back!
