Nice Tibet house. Host was friendly. Location was good.

The hotel is amazing. The rooms are very comfortable, with heating both in the floor and on the bed. The ladies running this hotel are superb. Super nice and kind people.

Friendly and warm Homestay. Upgraded four us due to our baggage is big and room availability. Definitely will visit again when go xianggelila.

The lady here was very nice and friendly but we left several days early because the room felt suffocating. The room was nice but there was no window that opened and the sealed window had a water tank against it outside. It felt very claustrophobic. Perhaps because it was unusually hot, it felt like we couldn’t get any fresh air and couldn’t breathe. It might better when the weather is cooler.

Perfect place, clean and quiet. Really enjoyed the bathtub. Only 300 mts from main square. Thumbs up.

From Kunming to Dali to Lijiang to Lugu Lake to Shangri-La, this is the only accommodation I want to write a review for, and it is also the only accommodation I have written a review for. The owner of the homestay is an aunt from Hunan, who is very enthusiastic. I originally stayed for only one night, but I changed my itinerary temporarily and decided to stay in Shangri-La for one more day. I did not choose to experience the different accommodation styles of other houses. I chose to continue staying in Gesang Meiduo, a traditional ******* courtyard. 📍The location is at the north gate of Dukezong Ancient City. You can take a taxi or Didi after getting out of the high-speed rail or bus. Vehicles are allowed to enter Dukezong Ancient City, and the driver can send them to the door of the small courtyard😏 🖼️ The style is pure wooden ******* style. There are original ******* living rooms and reception rooms on the second and third floors, which are very suitable for taking pictures. After I did the makeup in Dukezong Ancient City, I came back to take photos of the second floor. Since I am staying there again, I can write a second review. After the makeup photos are taken, I will post photos of the second floor of the aunt's house in the second article. 🧺 There are 8️⃣ guest rooms on three floors, all cleaned by the aunt herself. The aunt said that she can clean with hygiene guarantee. The room can be heated and equipped with electric blankets, and oxygen will be supplied from time to time. I was suddenly able to breathe in the middle of the night😅. The toothbrush, comb and toilet seat in the room are all disposable and safe to use. There are even care kits and sewing kits. The most important thing is... the shampoo and shower gel are Acca's white moss series, pure hotel supplies. If conditions permit, you can also add a body lotion in the future. After all, Shangri-La turned on the floor heating and electric blanket, which was too dry🥰 I highly recommend everyone to experience the pure ******* style homestay. After all, the Internet celebrity style can be lived anywhere, but the pure ******* style is not necessarily!

The Tibetan-style room is very special. There are floor heating and electric blankets in the room. A humidifier is also prepared, which is very warm and considerate. It is clean and hygienic, and the toiletries prepared are also very good. The proprietress is very nice and talkative. When I went back at night to wait for the floor heating to warm up, I invited her to chat by the fire, which made me feel at home. The B&B is very close to the Moonlight Square and the prayer wheels. This time, my experience of staying at Shangri-La Gesang Meiduo Villa was really mixed. The hotel has certain advantages in some aspects, but the overall service and experience made me deeply disappointed. I hope that my evaluation can provide reference for other consumers, and I also hope that the hotel can pay attention to the problem and make improvements. 2. Advantages The hotel's room types may have their own characteristics, such as the all-wooden room type, which gives people a different feeling to some extent. However, this also brings the problem of poor sound insulation, but considering the special nature of the building materials, it is understandable. 3. Disadvantages and detailed experience (I) Hygiene issues After entering the room, the first thing that caught my eye was the hair falling on the bathroom countertop, which greatly reduced my expectations of the room's hygiene. You know, a clean and tidy room is the most basic expectation of guests for a hotel, and this obviously did not meet the standard. At that time, because I checked in late and was physically exhausted, I did not communicate with the staff in time, but this does not mean that the problem does not exist. I hope that the hotel can be more strict and meticulous in hygiene management. (II) Price confusion and service attitude issues 1. Huge price difference The price booked a week in advance is far different from the price on the day of arrival, and the price on other platforms is about double the difference. This made me extremely confused about the hotel's price system, and my trust in booking collapsed instantly. 2. Improper handling by staff When I communicated with the staff on duty to cancel the order and rebook a cheaper room, they insisted that it was only available on Ctrip and not on other platforms. But after I asked my friend to successfully book and pay on other platforms on the spot, they still did not admit their mistakes, and thought I was very excited and asked me to talk slowly. I was really tired at the time, and just hoped to solve the problem reasonably, either refund the price difference or rebook, or check in according to the original order. However, the attitude and handling of the staff made me feel very helpless and disappointed. 3. The person in charge was also disappointing The subsequent person in charge came and first denied my statement. Even if I showed evidence of successful booking on other platforms, he still didn't believe it, and even forcefully asked to see my background. After confirming the order, the unfriendly eyes of the male staff next to me seemed to accuse me of deliberately making trouble, which made me completely lose confidence in the hotel's service enthusiasm. Throughout the process, the hotel did not actively solve the problem, but just gave a strong explanation without considering the guests' feelings, which really disappointed consumers. (III) Excessive disturbance 1. After I clearly stated that I wanted to rest, the staff on duty repeatedly came to the door of the room to explain, and knocked on the door again at 11 o'clock in the evening, which seriously affected my rest. The noise outside the window at more than 8 o'clock in the morning was clearly audible due to the sound insulation problem, which made it impossible for me to rest well. For me who may suffer from altitude sickness after climbing the mountain, such a rest environment is simply uncomfortable. Although Ctrip customer service helped me refund most of the price difference after I provided evidence, this stay experience has left me with a bad impression. I hope the hotel can learn from the lesson, improve service and management, and truly be customer-centric. Only in this way can we win the trust and praise of customers and remain invincible in the fierce market competition.
