Shangri-La Resort

This hotel, the Shangri-La, is located right in the city center. It has beautiful Tibetan-style decor and that familiar Shangri-La scent. The service was excellent and very welcoming. Our room was clean, comfortable, spacious, and bright, offering great views of the distant scenery. We enjoyed complimentary drinks and welcome fruit, and even received a Hada scarf. For dinner, they offer both a buffet and hot pot, and the breakfast was also fantastic, featuring many local specialties. Upon departure, we were given small dessert souvenirs. The location is super convenient for getting around, with several plazas and many shops nearby, making shopping easy. Parking is also convenient, which is a big plus for travel.

Our family trip to the Shangri-La Hotel was incredibly comfortable! The rich Tibetan-style decor was unique, and the in-room oxygen and underfloor heating effectively eased high-altitude sickness. The kids had a blast in the constant-temperature pool. The service was meticulous and attentive. With stunning views of Songzanlin Monastery, it's perfect for both relaxation and sightseeing.

1. The hotel has a wonderfully comforting aroma; as soon as I entered the lobby, I felt a sense of calm. The public areas are also beautiful, brimming with ******* charm. 2. The oxygen supply equipment is also excellent; if you feel unwell, a quick nasal oxygen session helps alleviate symptoms. There's also a humidifier, which is quite suitable for high- high-altitude regions. 3. The staff I encountered in the public areas were all proactive in greeting guests, showing great hospitality.

The hotel lobby and hallways are beautifully designed with a local ethnic flair. The room is a little on the small side, but it's well-equipped and comfortable.

My overall experience at this Shangri-La hotel was excellent. The hotel has been recently renovated, so all the in-room amenities are brand new and fully equipped. The room even comes with a nasal oxygen delivery system, which effectively alleviated any chest tightness or discomfort caused by the high altitude. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices, including many local specialties.

I booked breakfast for two for one day, but they only provided for one person. When I went for breakfast, I was stopped and they checked my order at the entrance for a long time. The staff's attitude was awful. Even though my order clearly showed breakfast for two, they still wouldn't let us in, saying that children also needed to be charged. I'm a mother with two children, and they said my children would be charged half price. My two children combined wouldn't even equal a full portion, and we had two breakfasts booked! I had to get the front desk involved, and it took a long time just to get breakfast. Facilities: The room was very small. It said 45 square meters, but it definitely wasn't, and it felt very cramped. The TV was old and unusable, with a very poor picture quality. It was a really old model. Service: The drinks in the mini-fridge were chargeable. I've stayed at Shangri-La hotels in many different cities, and this is the only one where the mini-bar drinks are not complimentary. Environment: What's even worse is that they accused us of breaking a mouthwash cup. When we left for breakfast, everything in the room was perfectly intact. When we returned, the room had been cleaned. At checkout, they tried to charge us, claiming we broke a cup. We were absolutely stunned! We didn't do anything of the sort. It's truly unbelievable! Their behavior was atrocious. We explained the situation to the front desk, hoping they would investigate, but they dismissively said, 'Then forget about it.' Is this a matter of 'forgetting about it'? We didn't do it, and we don't need your condescending attitude to 'forgive' us! We just wanted them to clarify the facts, and they just brushed it off so contemptuously.

Manager Hua provided incredibly thoughtful and attentive service. I was suffering from altitude sickness, and she went out of her way to get medical oxygen and a respirator for me. Her warmth and attentiveness completely elevated my impression of your hotel; I'm very grateful. The hotel's interior decor has a wonderful local character, beautiful and grand. While the breakfast could use a bit more variety, it was generally quite good.
