How can you visit Shangri-La and not stay at a Shangri-La hotel, especially such a great one? The overall experience was excellent. From the pre-check-in communication and reception to the hotel activities, and the dinner and buffet, everything was very satisfying. Rose He from the hotel activities team was incredibly energetic and helped my child experience local specialty activities. The gentleman who checked us in that day was also very patient and even upgraded us to a family room. Five-star rating!

Our trip to Shangri-La was made wonderful, despite the cold weather and slight altitude sickness, all thanks to staying at the Shangri-La Hotel. The staff's thoughtful service made us feel so warm and welcomed, especially the duty manager, the lovely Ms. He, who was incredibly friendly and attentive. We loved everything from the hotel's style to the impeccable service and the overall relaxing holiday experience. We'll definitely choose to stay here again next time. Highly recommended! 😀

This hotel was great in every aspect, so I extended my stay for another night. The oxygen supply was a lifesaver, and the service was excellent. It's also conveniently located, with two large ******* restaurants nearby that offer performances. I visited the Ancient City and Songzanlin Monastery, and even saw a huge prayer flag on the way. The trip was perfect! I was suffering from severe altitude sickness with very low blood oxygen, so I'm incredibly grateful the hotel had an oxygen concentrator. Very satisfied!

Facilities: Although the page says 2015, this is your best choice in Shangri-La. The facilities are so complete, you won't want to leave your room or even the hotel itself. Cleanliness: Extremely clean and tidy. Even if you're a germaphobe or sensitive to certain smells, you'll be comfortable here. Service: The staff are gentle and the service is excellent. Highly recommended! You must save this one. If you're young, there's a really nice bar downstairs. If you're a foodie, the location is superb, with everything you could want within a 1km radius. If you're older, it's quiet and comfortable here. Wake up in the morning and gaze at the mountains – it's all-encompassing. As for why I spontaneously changed my booking? If you truly enjoy staying in luxurious rural settings, Jianglu is nestled in the fields, but not being able to see the rooms beforehand isn't very accommodating! You could try the cafe out in the middle of nowhere, but I don't know the prices. Wishing you all the best in 2026!

Overall, it was pretty good. Traveling as a couple, we paid a few hundred yuan to upgrade from a standard room to a suite. The off-season price was quite reasonable. The hotel service was excellent and the facilities were complete. It should be one of the top hotels in Shangri-La, and the room amenities were also good. On the second day, the hotel helped arrange a car to see the 'golden sunrise over the mountains,' which was fantastic. However, the car service they arranged was truly awful – it was late and made many stops. While this might not be directly the hotel's fault, I hope the hotel can better control the quality of related services and not simply outsource without oversight. Overall, the hotel was still great, and thanks to the front desk for helping us arrange our itinerary, which was very fulfilling.

The hotel's location is very central, with a local morning market right behind it, and the old city is only about 1km away. The room offers a mountain view, and in the mornings, you can catch a glimpse of the 'Golden Mountain in the Sunrise' – I was really pleased with this view!
