Shangri-La Qincang Homestay (Dukezong Ancient City)

This was our best stay so far on our trip! The service here is similar to a 5-star international resort. On Day 1, they picked us up from the train station and drove us to the hotel. On the last day, the offered to drive us to the airport unprompted. Upon entering, we fell in love with the unique ******* architecture. The lobby looks exactly like the pictures and it was a breathtaking scene. The staff immediately made us feel welcomed by taking our luggage and making us coffee. Even their dog (馒头）greeted us at the doors. They provided a huge room for us with 2 sinks and a balcony. The room was very clean and felt very unique compared to the other hotels we stayed at. We had no trouble sleeping on the king sized mattress. The breakfast provided by the hotel was great! It was a mix of wok fried noodles, toast, eggs, congee, etc. The hotel was also centrally located in the ancient city. It is a quick walk to the city center and daifu temple. We were able to easily get to all of the sight seeing places without wasting transit time. The hotel is also on a side street so it is quieter at night allowing for peaceful rest. Everytime we came back to the hotel, the host would greet us with fresh fruit and tea. Their service was unbeatable and we were shocked at how nice they are.

Awesome stay in the ancient city with extremely warm hospitality from the staff

Gorgeous hotel! The room was amazing and very clean, breakfast was perfect and location is near the town but not in the busy area which is great. Best part of this hotel is the staff. They are extremely helpful and caring.

The hotel is beautiful, clean, and beds are super comfortable. The hotel is close to all interesting sites. Right at the entrance of the old town so walking distance to shopping, night life, restaurants, the prayer mill and temples, and easy access to the monasteries. The service at this hotel is amazing. The owner is always available to help. They suggested changes to our trip and helped us book trains, drivers at best price, and they suggested the best restaurants for what we wanted. We strongly recommend this amazing hotel.
