Thank you for the prompt response on our request and friendly service to pick up and drop off us at the entrance of town. We did early check in and were service with breakfast while waiting for the room to be ready.

It was a memorable NYE for me, had some drinks and chitchat with the other guests/staff by the fireplace, could see the fireworks and the view of Shangri-La old town from the 2nd floor. 阿英 was kind enough to upgrade me to the bigger room, provided an external heater as the floor heater would take some time, and sent our luggage to 北门. I wouldn’t mind climbing up some stairs but may not be ideal for some other people. Overall, I do love this place, it gave me the vibe of the mysterious Shangri-La.

Good location, room and views. However, we were picked up by the owner’s friend who didn’t know where we were going, made us drag our suitcase over the cobbles quite far. Then we arrived and there was no hot water and the hotel said it wouldn’t be fixed until the following day. We had to cut our trip short, although the owner was responsive on WeChat and flexible due to the situation so gave us a refund for the second night.

Very nice hotel with friendly staff, clean apartment and comfortable bed. View from the room is top (see picture). Be aware the toilet has no door, which is typical/ original style in this area, but you need to know.

We arrived in Shangri-la late at night. The owner of the hotel told us to go to a certain location so they could go pick us up, we were not charged for this service. They were very kind to us, especially to me since I had a hard time adjusting to the altitude and they told us what to do to alleviate my altitude sickness issues. The rooms are very spacious, nicely decorated and clean. The atmosphere of the place gives you a feeling you’re immersed in the local culture. The view from the top rooms are breathtaking, you can have an overview of the town and the main temple. Just beware that in order to have this view, you need to climb a lot of stairs, and at this altitude, climbing stairs can be a daunting challenge, but totally worthwhile. I highly recommend this place.

It was a great location with a nice view and a very cute dog. But the room was cold and loud with thin walls. The courtyard was used for the dog and because they never seemed to walk it, it would pee and poop in there, which generated a bad smell. The bed was rock hard (although the reception tried to help us with an extra layer) and the room was not cleaned once while we stayed for a few days. I don’t think the price matches.

We rented the queen room with balcony for the view to the temple. The view is probably the best in Shangri-La, but the walk to the Inn is a little exhausting due to the altitude or your condition:) The room is typical local style, nice and spacious and there is plenty of warm water for the shower. There isn’t much hangers for clothes and the shower/toilet has no door to separate from the living area, only a curtain The bed is nice with comfortable quilt If you need daily cleaning you better remind the staff - otherwise they won’t do it

It is a gorgeous hotel that embodies Shangrila. We had a great time, great service, good food, and magnificent views. Highly recommended.

I think most people book this hotel for the view. The view of two of the rooms were great. But the negatives outweigh the positives. The positives are the view which you can see from the pictures. The room with the view is also big. But there is no foot separating the bathroom and the bedroom. Insulation is very bad so when it is cold, the room is cold. The service is very bad. The one guy running the place would rather look at his phone than talk to you. If you are not feeling good with altitude sickness, then don’t book this hotel. You have to carry all your luggage by yourself up the stairs. The room was dusty and the view you can see, the windows are not cleaned. We were told that there is breakfast between 8-10am and paid for it. But we cannot find anyone during that time so no breakfast for two days. Will never book this hotel again. If you want the view, just go up the stairs to the verandah and take pictures. Afterall, there is no one there anyway!

We loved the peaceful and beautiful boutique hotel! The rooms were beautiful and the bed so comfortable. Lovely hotel showers and a great view over the old city. Thank you to the helpful staff who assisted us with bags on arrival and departure

It’s my first time to come to Shangri-La. Although the weather is not very good, the owner of the B&B is super nice. I will come again next time! There is also a cute kitten that is not afraid of being bitten! Cat lovers fall in love. Puppies are also cute. Sitting in the living room and chatting with good friends and companions is a very pleasant life. You don’t have to worry about embarrassment when you come alone. Once you come, you are familiar with each other as if you are home, and you are prepared for precautions. High anti-inflammatory snacks and medicine are nice☝️🤭

The room is clean and hygienic, the scenery outside the window is beautiful, and the service attitude is good

The service is very good and considerate. The boss is also very enthusiastic and always recommends interesting places to us. It is hygienic, clean and fragrant. The room is large, the transportation is very convenient, and the viewing location is very unobtrusive.
