Conveniently located in the old town and easy access to the attractions. The vibes at the hostel is great.

I had great time staying here for the first night and then I booked another two nights. It is just right in the old town near North gate and it it quite easy to find on the map. If you wanna eat, it is better just to walk out of old town and there are so many restaurants around. People in the hostel are very friendly and helpful as I ask them about hiking and booking tours. I recommend this place for everyone who comes to visit Shangri-la

The best place to stay if you want to hike around the area. The owner is really nice and helpful. Vibes are good, more similar to a mountain hut than a hostel. Best offer in town for the price!

It is a good youth hostel where is easy to meet other travelers. Location is good and they offer bycicle rentals which it is convenient. However, it is pretty basic hostel providing very basic amenities, and it needs some more deep cleaning to provide a more comfortable experience

The cleanliness of the hostel is horrible the toilets look awful and they smoke in building although it looks open the building isn't open and the smoke enters the room and get stuck to mattress if you don't like smoking like it is suggested that you will not stay there

Dirty. Nobody has cleaned in years. The bathroom is totally unacceptable. The public toilets of the city are in much better conditions than this bathroom, besides there is no women/men different toilet. The shower is a disaster. The common area is dirty, food leftovers and empty bottles. The bed was smelly. I had to leave. Only good thing is the location and the price, but the hygiene conditions are very poor.

Really lovely stay, it's about what you expect from a youth hostel. Safe and warm with bed heaters which is nice in Shangrila!

The first night in Shangri-La, I didn’t sleep all night. I have to be careful about bunk beds in the future. Don’t choose a conjoined one. I don’t dare to move the upper bunk bed because it will bring the lower bunk bed with it. It was noisy outside, but I was tired, and it didn’t hurt if the boss gave me instructions. I lost a small piece of clothing and went back three times but the boss was not there and he went to sleep to reply, so he had to go back without success. Because the room was lackluster, I realized that I didn’t take any pictures, so I had to show the view of Shangri-La.

Excellent location, on the edge of the old town. Beautiful structure, with a large common area where you can relax, eat and talk with customers. The staff were really kind and available for any request, they solved the problem of my mistake on the booking (I had booked the female dormitory), and they also gave me the difference, good and honest! Terrace for drying clothes. I didn't understand the cold-only washing machine! Too bad about the cleanliness, the mess and the bathrooms: annoying is the toilet paper that you have to buy yourself, no sprayer to wash yourself. The beds were comfortable, but I don't understand why the privacy curtains are only on the bottom beds.

When I go out alone, I prefer to stay in a youth hostel. The atmosphere is particularly good and the owner often organizes hiking. It really deserves to be a home for hikers! Highly recommend this place to friends who like hiking! There is also a cute little kitten in the store, you can pet it as you like! It never barks because it is very old hahaha~ The location of the youth hostel is also very good, with convenient transportation, right at the entrance of the ancient city. The room is very clean and the quilt covers are changed after every guest.

The location is very convenient, very close to taxis and various restaurants, and also very close to the train station. The boss is very nice and easy to talk to. He will help if you need anything. There is an electric blanket in the room, which heats up very quickly. You won’t feel cold when you sleep at night. cat cat
