This hotel is situated at the highest point of the old town, offering stunning views of the giant prayer wheel right from your room. It's also conveniently located within walking distance to the old town, making it super easy to explore. The hotel staff provide excellent service, always ready to assist with any request, and the restaurant truly exceeded my expectations.

The hotel is beautiful and the service is excellent. I highly recommend the yak hot pot dinner – it's generously portioned and delicious. The restaurant windows offer a stunning view in the evening. Shangri-La was definitely more pleasant than Lijiang during Chinese New Year, as it was less crowded.

The room was decent, and the location was good. The service was okay. I'm planning to try a different hotel next time, but the staff (the young ladies and gentlemen) were very enthusiastic! The diffused oxygen in the room was really, really useful!

Extremely satisfied! The environment is great and the hygiene is spotless. Breakfast is a perfect 100 points. The service is thoughtful and attentive. Highly recommend!

The room was nice, with a comfortable temperature and humidity. Afternoon tea wasn't offered proactively, and we didn't use it anyway. We also had to proactively ask and then communicate for a long time to be able to use the complimentary voucher.

This hotel is a hidden gem! We absolutely loved our stay, even though we hadn't seen it recommended anywhere on social media beforehand. The hotel and staff's dedication really shines through in so many small details. Upon arrival, a lovely woman in traditional ******* clothing greeted us with a Hada (a ceremonial scarf) and explained all the room amenities (she even upgraded our room, which we really appreciated!). In the evening, we received a handwritten card and a small gift. The breakfast was exquisite and delicious, with a great à la carte menu. I particularly enjoyed the creamy, milky toast and the freshly squeezed juice, while my husband's favorite was the ******* Eggs Benedict. Both the rooms and the restaurant offer fantastic views of the Golden Temple and the giant prayer wheel on Guishan Mountain, making even a rainy day spent indoors feel worthwhile. There's plenty of parking available, so no worries if you're arriving by car. Although there's a slope to navigate when entering and exiting the old town, you can always contact the hotel for a pick-up, so it's really not an issue.

The views are unbeatable, and the breakfast is incredibly rich, even including local specialties for a better taste of the local culture. The restaurant menu also offers a wide variety of choices. The staff are professional, friendly, and attentive. The hotel's location right within the old town is fantastic, offering great value for money! Highly recommended!
