Crystal Orange Shantou Huanghe Road

The room was cozy and the environment was really nice. Since it was Christmas, we even got a small building block gift. The service was attentive; they'd even tell us about all the best snacks on the food street. The hotel is conveniently located, not too far from the main attractions by taxi.

Facilities: Very new. Hygiene: Clean. Environment: Good. Service: Excellent attitude. Minibar: Has Coke, coffee, and even oranges! Crystal Orange is my go-to when traveling. You can only truly enjoy your trip if you have good accommodation. There are so many great places to eat nearby – I ate 8 meals in one day, hahahaha!

First and foremost, I'd like to express my gratitude to the hotel staff. They were incredibly responsive and accommodating to all our requests, with an excellent attitude and top-notch service quality. It was a nice touch that even late-night takeaways were promptly delivered to our door by a robot. Secondly, the hotel is indeed quite new. While it's in a secluded spot, it's conveniently located close to various attractions and very quiet, making it perfect for guests traveling by car. On the downside: 1. The bedding felt unclean, possibly containing dust mites or other irritants. Both my husband and I developed small, red bite-like spots on our skin. Given that we always wore long sleeves and pants when out, we're certain these weren't acquired outside the hotel. This is the first time we've ever experienced something like this in a hotel. 2. For a new hotel, it was surprising to find the showerhead was broken, and it was a cheap, flimsy model, reminiscent of something you'd see in a budget motel.

I originally booked a Wyndham (newly opened in 2025) on another platform. However, upon arrival, the room was filled with an overpowering and irritating renovation smell. Traveling with a child, this was completely unacceptable, so we had no choice but to check out and rebook elsewhere. In contrast, the Orange Crystal, also a newly opened hotel, had absolutely no lingering odors, making our stay very comfortable. The staff provided excellent service. Our butler thoughtfully sent recommendations for local specialty foods and attractions. The housekeeping department was incredibly responsive; when we requested two additional bottles of water, they promptly delivered four! Even at check-out, the front desk specially gave us another four bottles of water to take with us on our journey. This service was truly outstanding! This year, I've stayed at several newly opened HUAZHU Group hotels in various cities, and all of them have been free of unpleasant smells and very comfortable. Moving forward, I will definitely stick with HUAZHU Group hotels – they are consistently reliable!

For a city-center hotel, the facilities are truly excellent. It offers self-service laundry, and ordering food delivery is also very convenient. Moreover, its location provides easy access to all of Shantou's attractions.

The room was great and offered excellent value for money. The front desk staff even upgraded our room. The only downside is that there aren't many food options nearby, but getting a taxi is very convenient. I'd definitely stay here again next time!
