Shaoxing Hotel

I came to Shaoxing during the full bloom of the Chinaberry trees this time, and when it came to where to stay, there was no doubt – Shaoxing Hotel. I'd walked past it from Xixiaolu to Xiaohe Zhijie at the end of last year, and this Jiangnan-style garden hotel immediately went onto my 'must-stay' list. Shaoxing Hotel is beautiful both inside and out, with stunning scenery everywhere. All the staff are incredibly friendly and greet you warmly. On the day I checked in, the front desk even upgraded me to the second floor of Building 2, facing Fushan Park. The sanitary facilities are, needless to say, exceptionally clean, featuring a smart toilet and a multi-function shower with several massage jets. The sink area also has separate strong and weak voltage outlets for hair dryers and men's razors. The breakfast restaurant is downstairs. I passed it multiple times during the day and evening. It offers Shaoxing specialties, and the food is quite good. After breakfast, you can head to Fushan Park across the street for a panoramic view of the city. Shaoxing Hotel isn't just about its beautiful environment and excellent service; it also boasts a fantastic, central location in Shaoxing. You can walk to Xiaohe Zhijie, Cangqiao, and Lu Xun's former residence. I've compared this over my two visits to Shaoxing in the past six months and have already recommended it to several good friends.

After more than a month, I stayed at this hotel again and overall, I was very satisfied. Outdoors, every corner is a scenic spot, with lush trees and charming courtyards. The indoor rooms are clean and tidy, with complete and well-maintained facilities. The breakfast is fresh with a wide variety of options. I will definitely continue to choose this hotel in the future.

The hotel's location is very convenient, and the environment is quiet and elegant. I really love this antique, Chinese-style hotel! I stayed in Building 3, and there was a shuttle service. All the hotel staff were very enthusiastic, and the room size was quite generous!

The hotel has a beautiful garden-style layout, very elegant and reminiscent of the Jiangnan water towns – absolutely stunning! 😍 The staff were excellent; they even helped us with our luggage to our room. The service was incredibly thoughtful, warm, and attentive.

I booked a 3-day, 2-night stay at Shaoxing Hotel through Trip.com. Taking advantage of the good weather, I brought my elderly parents out for a change of scenery. My mother, due to a long-term illness, is wheelchair-bound. The moment we arrived at the entrance of Shaoxing Hotel, we were met with the meticulous care and attention of Mr. Lu Xinsong from the hotel. He first pushed my mother to the front desk, helped us arrange two adjacent rooms so I could look after my parents, and then suggested we stay in Building 6, which is close to the breakfast restaurant, so we wouldn't have to walk too far for meals each morning. While I was checking in, he also pushed my mother and father to the lounge area in the lobby to rest and wait. What touched me even more was that after I finished checking in, he helped us push my mother and simultaneously introduced us to the beautiful hotel grounds, staying with us until we were settled in our room with our luggage. Thank you so much, Mr. Lu. You are the face of Shaoxing Hotel and, to us guests, a relative we felt an instant connection with! Shaoxing Hotel is a five-star scenic hotel designed with traditional Jiangnan garden architecture. It truly lives up to the saying 'every step reveals a new view,' making you feel like you're strolling through a painting. During our two-day stay, my family not only enjoyed the beautiful scenery and delicious food but also received a warm welcome from the hotel staff. I'd especially like to mention Ms. Feng from housekeeping; she was always responsive and provided excellent service. Thank you too! Life is a journey, and I'm incredibly grateful to have met such wonderful people. This was our first time in Shaoxing, but because of good people like Mr. Lu and Ms. Feng, who felt more like family than strangers, I believe I will definitely return to Shaoxing! And many times! An excellent stay! This hotel is a classic Jiangnan garden-style property, featuring white walls and dark tiles, with a serene and elegant ambiance. The rooms are full of ancient charm, yet clean and comfortable. The service is warm and attentive, and the breakfast spread is generous, truly showcasing the charm of Shaoxing's waterside culture.

Facilities: Comprehensive and well-equipped with excellent supporting services. Hygiene: Spotlessly clean, with a pleasant and elegant environment. Ambiance: Beautiful and inviting, featuring charming, antique architecture perfect for leisurely strolls and exploring; you'll want to linger. Service: Attentive and thoughtful.

This isn't my first time staying at Shaoxing Hotel, and as always, the quality and service are exceptional. I booked a family duplex room, and when a small issue arose during check-in, the housekeeping manager proactively upgraded us to a split-level family suite. The restaurant staff were not only warm and welcoming but also kindly advised us not to order too much food, suggesting we might not finish it all, and even helped us with dish recommendations. Finally, I must commend Mr. Lu from the concierge. As we were waiting for our self-driving car to be brought up from the garage upon check-out, Mr. Lu offered to drive us in the hotel shuttle to the garage exit. When we realized we were at the wrong parking garage, he immediately took us to the correct one, and then even led the way out of the garage in the shuttle. Our stay at Shaoxing Hotel was an excellent experience; thank you!

The stairs to the second-floor loft are a bit steep, so it's not ideal for very young children. The swimming pool is currently under construction. Overall, the environment is excellent, and breakfast is fresh with a wide variety of options. It's well-suited for family trips.
