I was very satisfied with my stay at the hotel. The bed was big and the air conditioning was hot enough. Breakfast is also good👍. I went to the Olympic Sports Center to watch a concert and it was very convenient. There is a lake right in front of the hotel. It is also a good choice to take a walk. It is recommended. The subway is right in front of the hotel, which is also very convenient.

Environment: The lobby is simple and elegant, the rooms are clean and tidy Transportation: Turn left a few hundred meters from the hotel to the Mingzhu Square Subway Station A entrance and exit, which is very convenient. The Yintai Department Store is more than 900 meters away, and it is also very close to Guazhu Lake. If you walk there, it only takes 20 minutes. Facilities: There is a Bluetooth alarm clock on the bedside of the room, a large bathtub, and a gym on the 12th floor. You can swim and exercise for free when you stay, which is great. Service: The young lady and brother at the front desk were very enthusiastic when checking in. They also gave rice wine and milk tea as a gift. The decoration style of the hotel belongs to the old-fashioned luxury decoration of the 2010s. But the room is very large and the bathroom is also very large. The breakfast seems to be rich, but by the standards of a five-star hotel, the taste and sophistication are slightly inferior. It is said that breakfast is from 7:30 to 10:00. We went at 8:00, and some of the food, such as omelettes and steamed buns, were already cold. Overall, western food is better than Chinese food. The Chinese restaurant Yueweixuan is good, with good taste and good service, and the dishes are exquisite and on point. Fruit and lily and mung bean soup were delivered in the afternoon, which was very delicious! There are also souvenirs for leaving the hotel. The legendary hotel does not even open the door to the scenic spot in Lu Town, so you can only go around from the gate, but it is still very close. Overall satisfied, after all, it is a five-star price of more than 600 yuan. The slightly outdated facilities are made up for by additional attentive services, and overall it's good value for money. The room is clean, and there is a retractable clothesline in the bathroom, which is very practical. There is a small football field on the roof across the road outside the window. There is a group of primary school students playing football. It seems that they are very good at utilizing the space. Pictures 7 and 8 are of the hotel building taken while standing on the steps of the subway exit, very close to each other on foot. It takes half an hour by subway to reach Lu Xun's former residence scenic spot.

As an American business traveler, this is probably the best hotel that I’ve stayed at in Shaoxing. I’ve stayed here repeatedly over the past 5 years or so. The hotel staff is friendly and can accommodate most of your needs if you are new to China or the city. They also have one of the best dinner buffets that is affordable with a wide variety of cuisines and all you can drink beer.

The Oriental Grand hotel is part of a complex which includes 3 theme parks. One indoor mountain park, one indoor water park, and one large outdoor theme park. The parks were fun for our toddler. Call in advance to see which parts of the park are open/closed for the season. The hotel and facilities are designed for kids, so expect lots of them to be around! We stayed for 3 nights during the October Golden Week but the hotel was not overly busy, nor was the theme park. The breakfast was solid with mostly Chinese options but Western options as well. We enjoyed both the breakfast and the buffet dinner. Other food options in the area are quite limited, and the food in the parks is pretty poor. We were a 20-40 minute taxi ride away from other major attractions in the city, like Daxianglin and the giant buddha, as well as some of the ancient towns. The rooms were clean and new, and we had an excellent view of the nightly fireworks show from the main theme park, even from the bathtub! The rooms were quiet at night and the blackout curtains allowed everyone to sleep in. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Overall I would recommned this hotel to people seeking quiet and comfort during a theme-park trip.
