Mercure Sheffield Kenwood Hall & Spa

The hotel is out dated. We paid more to upgrade to a premier room which is next to their storage. Every morning we were woken by the trolley push and assistants talking to the others. The shower room has beeping sound once you are into the shower for 5 mins. The door will suddenly be banged open even we closes it, as the wind can easily blow it open. We can not find any tea or kettle as they are hidden under the tv set and only be told after checking with the reception. The whole experience of staying including the small swimming Pool and smallest sauna and steam room has let us down. We will not go back.

Staff were very friendly, room was clean, spa was lovely with a heated pool, the lady at the desk in the spa was so lovely, would definitely recommend to family and friends thankyou!!

The hotel feels outdated and unsafe. The door lock was flimsy, the peephole loose, and it seemed the door could be pried open. The bathroom was worn—the tub was peeling and yellowed, with brown dust in the details. The mattress squeaked whenever I sat down. Soundproofing was terrible: two connecting doors to the next room meant I could hear everything, and someone opened one at midnight. As a woman traveling alone, I didn’t feel safe. I can’t recommend this hotel. Overall, I did not feel safe or comfortable. Management urgently needs to address the door security, replace the bathtub, deep-clean the bathroom, fix or replace the mattress, and properly seal or remove the connecting doors. Until then, I cannot recommend this hotel—especially for solo female travelers. 单独旅行的女性不要选择这家酒店，有卫生问题和安全隐患

Wonderful hotel. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Only downside was I got back to hotel at 10.30pm wanting to go straight ro sleep but there was a wedding on and music kept me awake until midnight.

Lovely clean and welcoming hotel with great facilities. There is a spa and pool at the hotel and a restaurant. We ate in the bar area and the food and service was excellent. The receptionist was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed.

It was amazing overall. Spa facilities seem like abit old but for the price i paid, it worth it. However the heater in the room abit too warm

It was an impressive and pleasant stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a family room, which was perfect for our trip, very spacious and with great view. The bed mattress is one of the best in all my experience. I had great sleep during the stay. The cleanliness of the room was ok. The location is very convenient if you are driving - 20 mins drive to the walking trails and 10 mons drive to centre of Sheffiled. David from the restaurant provided highly professional and helpful service for our breakfast. All in all, we would consider staying at this hotel again if we visit this area again.
