Qingwu Fisherman's Hostel

I stayed there for 3 nights in 2 different rooms - the queen bed garden view (no pictures) and Queen Bed sea view (pictures provided). This accommodation is located on the east side of the island close to the bridge going to Shengshan Island. I liked it’s location because it allowed me to hike around both islands. However, there’s a bus stop just next to the hostel if you like. The owners and their 2 dogs are adorable. They also own a small ice cream shop in the center which I recommend. The view from then restaurant area is just perfect. They serve good food - mix of local seafood dishes and non-seafood. There’s also a small beach area just in front with no entry fee. Overall I would highly recommend this place for the view, location and price. My only negative point is that the sea view room is located above their kitchen. The room gets the kitchen smells anytime they cook. If that does not bother you, this room has a very nice view. I personally would pick the garden view which is located separately from the main house if I would book again.

Just perfect. A tiny romantic spot in between bigger hotels, absolutely original and treasured with care and love by the owners and their two dogs. Thank you for having us stay in your little jewel! 💙

WoW! What an amazing place to stay! I took my wife to the Island for her Birthday and was looking for an affordable and cute place. QingWu Fisherman's Hostel did not disappoint! The owner and his girlfriend were so kind and welcoming. He helped me find the correct Ferry station to travel to the Shengshan island and gave us tons of information and advice for living and traveling on the island. Like taking the bus instead of taxis because the taxis are very expensive. The Hostel also has a bar and restaurant area that is extremely cute and pleasant to be at. We ate Lunch and Dinner at the Hostel every day because the food was absolutely divine. My wife does not eat spicy food and the host was kind enough to alter the dishes. The room itself was an absolute pleasure to stay in. When we arrived at the room the air conditioning had already been put on and the room was nice and cool considering the soaring heat outside. We spent most mid-days in the room to escape the heat and take a nap. The evenings we spent on the deck watching the sunset and drinking beer and wine. It truly felt like home. If I go back to the island, I'll definitely stay there again. 1000% recommend.

If you decided to visit Gouqi island, that’s definitely one of the best places to spend couple of nights or more! Room was clean and minimalistic - best option for that price. Owners are super friendly, always ready to help and tell you how to get anywhere on islands around (by the way, speak English very well). They also have some kind of a small restaurants in their inn and it’s at least one of the best places on the island, for real. By the way, the owners have two cute and friendly dogs. Very warm place with good vibe and nice service!

Great place to stay! Very welcoming and helpful owners with three cutest dogs 😊 the food is great. And the patio to eat or just chill is amazing. The free beach is right next to the hostel, and it’s not far from the bridge that leads to Houtouwan fishing village. I highly recommend this place to stay! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Beautiful island and very nice host and his girlfriend. They both helped me to sort out my tickets later on explained how and where should I go to visit most scenic spots. The girl cooked very delicious seafood dinner, listening to the sound of waves and relaxing music. My room was the front side room with view on the sea. Lovely dogs hanging around. Nice atmosphere and other guests very friendly too. Overall experience very good. Highly recommend this place.
