Qinghe Peninsula Hot Spring Resort Hotel

The Northeast's 'bathhouse ceiling' definitely lives up to its reputation! Even though it was crowded, there were so many pools and such a large space that I always managed to find an empty one. I'm looking forward to when the construction around the area is finished and the dry riverbed is fixed up – that would make it even better, and there wouldn't be any construction noise. The room was great, with an American cowboy ranch-style decor throughout. Qinghe Peninsula Hot Spring ticket: a perfect experience!

The room was absolutely terrible. I had booked a family suite specifically for the private hot spring, but the staff locked the private hot spring door and refused to open it. When I tried to talk to the hotel about it, their attitude was awful. The manager in the villa area, whose last name is Li, was completely unhelpful and had a very bad attitude. The hot spring area was packed like sardines, and some kids even threw up in the pool, but no one bothered to clean it up when I called. The whole experience was just awful.

The room was great, and the environment was lovely too. The hotel service was also excellent. It was really thoughtful that a staff member escorted us to our room upon our first check-in! The breakfast was absolutely fantastic! There's even a shuttle bus within the resort to the restaurant, which is very convenient. If you're bringing kids for water activities, Qinghe Peninsula is definitely the place to go!

I usually don't write reviews, but this is beyond frustrating. This hotel is an absolute rip-off; I've never stayed in a multi-thousand dollar hotel that was this bad. They claimed to offer complimentary tickets, but on the first day, we had to leave by midnight, and on the second day, we had to check out by 10 AM to get two tickets that were only valid until 6 PM. So, I'm thinking, I have to check out by 10 AM, meaning I spent less than eight hours in your room. Is this the most expensive hourly rate ever? And they shamelessly claim it's to maximize the customer's experience. How is any of this maximizing anything? Accommodation is supposed to offer convenient access and allow you to stay for a couple of days. But here, you can only enter once, and once you leave, you can't re-enter. Accommodation is also about convenience, but I saw no convenience here. Finally, when it came to checking out, I couldn't use a machine; I had to wait in a long line for a human. It's like the hot spring and this accommodation have a vendetta against hotel guests, deliberately making things inconvenient. Why even bother staying here then?! It's disgusting, the worst experience ever, nothing could be worse!!!

I booked a twin room in the villa area. The bathroom door didn't close properly, and even after two repair attempts, it still wasn't fixed. After showering, we found water leaking all over the floor. We were traveling with a child, and I was concerned about safety if they were to slip. There were also stains on the pillowcases and a hair on the bed. The butler didn't resolve the issues or offer us a different room.

I wouldn't have stayed at this hotel if it weren't for the hot springs. The front desk staff, especially the female supervisor surnamed Li, were completely unhelpful, unresponsive, and didn't care at all. They openly lied. I wanted to switch from a king room to a twin room with my child, but they kept falsely claiming there were no rooms available, even though I could see twin rooms listed for the same day on Dianping. The supervisor, Ms. Li, then went into unresponsive and ignoring mode. I had no choice but to coordinate the room change through a third-party platform, Trip.com. This is the first time I've encountered such front desk service in the hotel industry! Cleanliness: As a ten-year-old hotel, the cleanliness is indeed concerning. The indoor hot spring had moss growing in it, and half of the bathroom floor tiles were cracked. But what's most incomprehensible is, can we at least wipe down the light switches? They're practically caked in grime! Breakfast: Honestly, their breakfast was really good. It felt like a warm Northeastern welcome, they really went all out!

The hotel is good and lives up to its high-end positioning. The housekeeping staff are very friendly and proactively ask if you need water, then provide plenty of bottles. We came here mainly for the water activities, so whether you use the outdoor hot spring in the room or not is fine; there were quite a few pigeons on the rafters though. They provide two complimentary tickets, and children under 1.4m get in for free with an adult. Breakfast was also excellent. The only downside is that the place is huge, which means a lot of walking, but there's a shuttle bus for breakfast.

The hotel's online advertising built up too much anticipation, leading to a significant gap between expectation and reality. I arrived at 10:30 PM, and the lobby was completely dark. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, but the shower drainage was poor; water flowed from the shower enclosure directly into the toilet area. Since it was late and I was only staying one night, I didn't bother calling for service. The vanity area was also uncomfortably close to the bed with no privacy screen. As for the hot spring area, the water activities were fun and my child enjoyed them. However, the scrubbing area and lounge were very mediocre. If you're looking for a good scrubbing experience, I'd advise against it. There wasn't even any water available to drink in the scrubbing area. I finally found some hot water in the main hall, but the air conditioning wasn't sufficient, so I was constantly sweating. Free drinking water wasn't readily available everywhere. The dinner voucher from Ctrip was useless since I arrived so late. When I asked if I could use it the next day, I was told no, it was only valid for the same day – what's the point of giving it then? Overall, the indoor areas felt dim and disorganized, while the outdoor areas were clean, tidy, and interesting.

This is probably the biggest bathhouse in Northeast China, or more precisely, Shenyang. Both the indoor and outdoor pools are really good. My kids absolutely loved the wave pool activity. The indoor lazy river, though, wasn't really that exciting; I don't understand why people were queuing up for it. Overall, this three-day, two-night trip was fantastic. The only downside is how incredibly popular it is – it was absolutely packed with people, shoulder to shoulder.
