Qiyou Capsule Youth Hostel

This hostel completely changed my perception of hostels! The hygiene was top-notch, the bedding was clean and comfortable, and even the shared bathrooms were odor-free. The pod-style beds had excellent soundproofing and great privacy, so I slept really well. All in all, unbeatable value for money.

The hotel's location is pretty good, right here in Huaqiangbei. The atmosphere is nice too. It's really suitable for solo travelers. It's convenient for people traveling to and from Luohu Port.

There were so many mosquitoes at night, and the mosquito coils often weren't lit or didn't catch fire. Tonight, the staff deliberately lit all four tips of a mosquito coil at once. It's common knowledge for an adult to only light one tip in a mosquito coil holder. Lighting all four tips at the same time, putting aside how absurd and irresponsible this action is, creates an open flame when two tips are close together. If it catches fire, it could pose a burning risk to everyone. This disregard for guest safety is extremely malicious. Additionally, burning all four tips at once created a thick, toxic gas that caused everyone to cough incessantly. This is a dangerous act that is essentially poisoning guests. Danger! ⚠️⚠️

I always thought hostels would be noisy and I wouldn't get a good rest, but my stay at Qiyou completely changed my mind. You need to swipe your card to enter the lounge area and your own pod, which provides a great sense of security. The pod itself is incredibly spacious, and the bed is large and comfortable. When you close the pod door, there's no feeling of being cramped at all; in fact, it feels very cozy. I once stayed at a hostel on Nanjing Road in Shanghai that had no pod doors or curtains, so there was zero privacy, and it was so noisy. You could feel people moving on their bunks at night, but at Qiyou, there's no disturbance from other guests at all – it's incredibly quiet and comfortable. On top of that, it's also very clean and they pay great attention to service details. I absolutely love it and highly recommend it!

You can't beat this place for location! It's right by the Huaqiangbei subway station, and just a short walk downstairs to the Tianhong Junshang Shopping Center and Huaqiangbei Pedestrian Street. Central Park is literally just steps away. The environment here exceeded my expectations – it's so comfortable, incredibly clean, and the staff are incredibly welcoming. They host not only domestic guests but also many international visitors, as well as guests from Hong Kong and Taiwan. Sitting in the lobby in the evening feels like being in Huaqiangbei's international living room, it's really nice. I had an unexpected bonus too – I made friends with an Italian and a Hong Konger, which was absolutely delightful! I highly recommend this place as the top choice for anyone staying in Huaqiangbei, Shenzhen.

My stay here was absolutely fantastic! It's super easy to get to, just a 5-minute walk from Exit C of Huaqiangbei Metro Station. The lobby is unlike most hostels – it's really spacious and stylishly decorated. The staff were incredibly warm and professional, and the whole place was spotlessly clean. They have every amenity you could ask for: washing machines, dryers, a fridge, coffee machine, direct drinking water (hot and cold), luggage lockers and storage, a linen room, and more. The shower pressure was great, the bed was super comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the temperature just right. After my shower, I closed the capsule door and slept soundly until morning. Seriously, this place offers incredible value for money. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Staying at Qiyou again was full of pleasant surprises! The front desk attendant recognized me and called me by name, which truly made me feel right at home. The hygiene is consistently spotless, and the staff are as warm and attentive as ever. What was different this time was the lush greenery by the window, much fuller than on my last visit. I happily grabbed a coffee that morning and enjoyed a moment of peace by the window.

This place is perfect for someone with an irregular work schedule like me. Last night, I tutored a high school student until late, and going all the way back to Pingshan was too far, so I found this hotel online. Stepping out of the elevator, I actually thought I’d walked into a fancy Western restaurant! The lobby decor is super minimalist and chic. There were guests working on laptops, reading, and chatting. When I told the front desk attendant I needed to wake up early, she said they offer wake-up calls – awesome! She was worried I wouldn’t get enough rest, so she even gave me some disposable earplugs, though I didn't end up using them. The AC and bed were both really comfortable. After a shower, I was asleep in no time.
