1. Lobby service was pretty lackluster. No one opened the car door when we arrived or offered to help with luggage. I was traveling alone with my child and struggling with our bags, and no one came to assist.
2. The lobby fragrance was unpleasant, and the hand soap smelled awful. The bath salts weren't a hit with my child either. I'd recommend upgrading the toiletries.
3. Before the fire show started at night, there was a strong smell of gasoline or diesel. My expectations were too high, thanks to Little Red Book reviews claiming the fire show alone was worth the room rate – totally misleading! We got there early to grab front-row seats, but it wasn't anything special. Even my child thought it was a bit silly. However, the foreign performers were clearly working very hard; we saw them rehearsing from our balcony past 10 PM.
4. Staff efficiency needs improvement. Normally, at other hotels, deposits are refunded within two hours of check-out. Here, I checked out of MGM before 1 PM, and by 6 PM, my 2000 CNY deposit still hadn't been returned. Combined with the lack of assistance upon arrival (no one opening doors or helping with luggage), staff training definitely needs to be enhanced.

1. Breakfast was decent.
2. The facilities are good, and there are three play areas for children.
3. There's a dedicated staff member to open the doors when you go from the G floor to the outdoor areas and the beach.
