First, let's talk about the good things. The hotel is conveniently located, a 5-8 minute walk from Sea World Metro Station (Lines 2, 8, and 12). I was given a high-floor room, and the restaurant on the 27th floor has a great view. I won't list all the positives.
Now, for areas that need improvement:
1. The front desk staff didn't mention the complimentary special amenity upon check-in. Whether a guest chooses to use it is one thing, but the front desk should at least inform them.
2. During my two-night stay, on the second day, only face towels and bath towels were provided. Disposable slippers were replenished promptly, but the box meant for slippers contained a shower cap. This was an oversight by the housekeeping staff. I wonder if the housekeeping supervisor conducted a room inspection.
3. The bedding in the room wasn't comfortable enough, especially the two pillows provided. One was a bit too high, and the other a bit too low. Perhaps a guest survey on this could be conducted.
4. On the day of check-out, one of the guests was celebrating her birthday. It would have been nice to acknowledge this during the check-out process or at breakfast, rather than asking for a good review during check-out.
In summary, high occupancy during holidays shouldn't be the sole reason for these oversights. I've stayed at many hotels, and many do a much better job. It's not enough to only focus on superficial aspects; the small details are what truly matter. It would be beneficial to learn from hotels that excel in these areas. I sincerely hope our own hotel can improve and get better. Keep it up!
