Genpla Hotel by Shenzhen Metro

Booked this for a friend, and they said they had a very comfortable stay. My friend specifically mentioned that Li, the front desk staff, provided excellent and professional service. They also loved the beautiful lobby and the delicious welcome tea. Highly recommend!

Front desk staff Freya was very attentive and always smiling. They also have a self-service laundry room. It's only 100 meters from the North Station, so I'm very satisfied and highly recommend it for travel. Go, go, go!

The hotel room was excellent and super convenient, right next to the North Station. You basically step out and you're there, no need to worry about the rain. The room was also very spacious, and every staff member provided great service.

I really hope more people see this review. **Pros**: It's a newly opened hotel, incredibly close to Shenzhen North Station. You can walk from the hotel's ground floor lobby straight to the security check at Shenzhen North Station in just 5 minutes. Super convenient! Being new, the hardware is excellent, no complaints there. **Cons**: We stayed in room 401, which is directly above a major road leading to Shenzhen North Station. From 11 PM to 1 AM, drivers were constantly honking their horns, making it impossible to sleep. The next day, housekeeping offered to switch our room. But seriously, at 11 PM, after I've unpacked all my luggage and am already in bed, who has the energy for that? This was the most serious issue. Also, coming from Hong Kong, from the moment I stepped off the high-speed train, it took 18 minutes to walk from the train platform to the subway entrance, and then another 8 minutes from the subway entrance to the hotel. So, for travelers with a lot of luggage, I'd advise caution. This really contradicts what the hotel advertised.

This is a new hotel, very clean with excellent style and service. The bathroom features a smart toilet and is spotless. Its location right by Shenzhen North Station Square is incredibly convenient, just a three-minute smooth walk to the platform. I'll definitely book here again on my next trip to Shenzhen.

The hotel entrance is just a 5-minute walk from the High-Speed Rail West Plaza, head left and slightly forward. The hotel seems quite busy, as there was a bit of a wait when checking in and calling the front desk. The room was spacious and the facilities were good, plus there's a free laundry room on every floor. The breakfast selection could be more diverse (the Qianhai branch does a better job in this regard).

I really have to commend this hotel: 1: The location is excellent. It's just a three-minute walk from the North Station entrance. Our high-speed train was at 6:25 PM, and we left the hotel at 5:55 PM. We even waited 10 minutes at the boarding gate before they started scanning tickets. 2: The hotel lobby is grand, the room is spacious enough, and the cleanliness is excellent. The decor is also good, and the bedding is clean and comfortable. Each floor has a self-service laundry room with good, fast washers and dryers. We received four bottles of water daily. Next to the elevator, there's also a self-service bottled water dispenser they call "Salary Increase Water." It was very quiet at night, and the blackout curtains worked perfectly. 3: The service is outstanding. We stayed for two days. Our original check-out time was 2 PM. We planned to go out in the afternoon, and Shenzhen is very hot, so we knew we'd sweat a lot. Plus, an overnight sleeper train would definitely be uncomfortable. So, when checking out, I casually asked the front desk if it would be convenient to use a bathroom for my child to quickly wash up when we returned later. To my surprise, after confirming room availability, the young man at the front desk proactively offered to extend our check-out until 6 PM. So, when we returned to the hotel after 4 PM, we even had an hour's nap and a refreshing shower before heading to the high-speed train station. It was absolutely fantastic! Many thanks to the hotel for such thoughtful service. Next time I go to Shenzhen, I will 100% stay here again.

Had a fantastic vacation in Shenzhen with my friends, and choosing Grand Skylight Hotel, which is closest to the North Station, was a great decision based on online reviews. True to the reviews, it's just a few minutes' walk away. The lobby is impressive. The front desk staff, both the gentlemen and ladies, were very welcoming and all smiles. They even asked if we had any specific needs for our stay and upgraded our room. The bed was super comfortable, and the room was very clean. We had such a wonderful time! We'll definitely be back!
