Weiman Hotel (Dongmen Old Street Subway Station Branch)

The hotel was dirty and messy, and the service attitude was terrible. I even had to go downstairs to pick up my own food deliveries because they said the robot couldn't bring them up. I ordered two or three times and had to go down myself. For this kind of place, charging 350 is ridiculous. I will definitely not be coming back a second time.

The location is fantastic, right in the old town. Just a heads-up: after exiting metro station C, you'll need to walk to the main street to find the building's main entrance (look for two stone lions). Check-in for the hotel is on the 8th floor. They offer complimentary afternoon tea, which is a lovely touch. The room itself is very spacious. Definitely worth staying here again!

Xiao Zhen at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. The location is excellent, right near the Old Street, and there's a food court downstairs. You can easily find it from Metro Exit C. The hygiene was great, very clean and tidy. The front desk is on the 8th floor of the Concept Building, which was easy to find and the staff were very accommodating.

They advertised robot service, but out of six food deliveries I ordered, four times I had to go downstairs to pick them up myself. It wasn't even the front desk delivering them; the delivery drivers just left them. And when there's no robot, the delivery drivers certainly won't wait for one! The front desk is on the eighth floor of a building, and sometimes the building's reception wouldn't even let the drivers in. One time, a driver just left my food on a stone lion by the roadside outside – I was so annoyed! The bathroom had no toilet paper when I checked in. It took two calls for them to finally bring some up. They called it a 'kids' room,' but there was still sand on the carpet, and the TV wasn't a smart TV, making it really hard to navigate. 😭 I was hoping for a pleasant Dragon Boat Festival, but it was anything but.

The front desk staff were very helpful and their service attitude was commendable. However, the hotel provided inaccurate information regarding room allocation. Upon check-in, we presented our booking and clearly stated we had reserved three rooms (two king rooms and one twin room), and our friends had also re-confirmed the room types with the front desk multiple times. Based on the information we received at the time, we understood that the hotel had provided an extra room due to an issue with room type arrangements. It wasn't until after we returned to Malaysia that we were notified by the hotel that we needed to pay extra for that room, which came as a complete surprise. As we had confirmed the arrangements multiple times during our stay, this misunderstanding was not due to a guest error but rather a communication breakdown on the hotel's part. I suggest the hotel enhance staff training and internal communication mechanisms to ensure accurate and consistent information is provided to guests. This would prevent situations where guests are informed of additional charges only after checking out or even returning home, which negatively impacts the overall stay experience. I hope the hotel can improve in this area in the future.

The towels were dazzlingly white with a subtle hint of sunshine, a rare and thoughtful detail. The sofas in the lobby lounge were incredibly comfortable and enveloping; you could easily find a quiet corner and stay for a long time. The service was warm and attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommended.

The shower head provided an even spray, and the water temperature control was incredibly precise. The carpet in the room was thick and clean, feeling soft underfoot. The bed sheets and duvet covers were skin-friendly and smooth, without any rough spots. The lady who checked me in was efficient and didn't waste a minute. Overall, I was extremely satisfied.
