Staying at Yingshe Light Luxury S Hotel was a great experience. They have a free parking lot with hundreds of spaces. After comparing many hotels, this one priced around 300 RMB with free parking offers better value for money than most. We booked a special-rate king room, and the front desk upgraded us to a scenic view king room. The hotel is in a great location with convenient transportation. In the evening, we took a stroll by the seaside to enjoy the night view of Shekou, and the photos turned out amazing. The room was clean with no unpleasant odors, and the bathroom featured a wet and dry separation design.

First of all, I'd like to give a big shout-out to the young lady at the front desk (I'm guessing she's the lobby manager)—her service attitude was simply amazing and she was always smiling. We booked the only two-bedroom family suite in the hotel. The room is at the end of the corridor, and the window looks out over the main entrance of the building. The small living room doesn't have an AC unit, but both bedrooms do; once the bedrooms cool down, the living room gradually cools down as well. There is a washing machine in the room, and an electric fan in the living room helped dry our freshly washed clothes. It was wonderful, just perfect. However, there are downsides, and this particular drawback was a total dealbreaker. We arrived at the hotel at 12:00 noon, but were told that the previous guest hadn't checked out yet. So we went out to grab a bite, and when we returned an hour later, we were told they still hadn't checked out. After waiting yet another hour, we were told they had just left and the room was currently being cleaned. We had planned to rest a bit and let my parents unwind before heading out for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge cruise, but the three of us ended up sitting at a small table in the lobby for two hours. I checked later and found out that Ctrip high-tier members have a late check-out privilege. Because we booked the hotel's only two-bedroom suite, if the previous guest checks out late, it directly delays my check-in. I really think the hotel needs to take this into consideration; it honestly makes you want to leave a bad review. I was furious at the time. We arrived on time, yet couldn't check in normally—they got to enjoy their perks, but who is going to protect my rights? As for the location, the hotel is right next to Shekou Port, about a 1.5-kilometer walk or around a 12-yuan taxi ride. Setting off from here, we went to Hong Kong, Macau, and took the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge cruise, which was super convenient. There are two large shopping complexes nearby: K11 and Sea World.
