This stay was a complete disgrace – riddled with issues, and I will never stay here again. If possible, I’ll even avoid the entire Huazhu Orange brand in the future!
1. The towels were shabby, covered in lint and frayed edges.
2. The so-called “executive suite” was a joke: no bathrobes, no coffee, no extra beverages – nothing as promised.
3. Despite being a Ctrip Black Diamond member – their highest-tier membership – I was utterly disregarded: not only was I denied an upgrade, but the check-in receipt even showed “no breakfast” – despite my booking explicitly including it! This wasn’t a member benefit; it was part of my paid reservation, yet it was conveniently omitted. I only realized at night when I double-checked my order.
4. The disrespect continued at checkout: As a top-tier Black Diamond member, I was no extra hour for late checkout – and was abruptly woken up by a call at noon, rudely rushed to leave!
What’s more confusing – and frustrating – is that just two weeks ago, at another Orange hotel in Shenzhen, my late checkout was smoothly arranged until 14:00. Why is there zero consistency within the same brand, even in the same city?
Honestly, I don’t even want an explanation at this point. It’s exhausting. No more phone calls, no more excuses – I’m done. There are plenty of other hotels in Shenzhen to choose from, and I’ll certainly never pick this one again.
To Ctrip: you really need to get your suppliers in order. Why are the standards so wildly inconsistent? At the very least, add clear labels or ratings to your suppliers, so customers like me can avoid these unreliable properties altogether.
