"This apartment hotel was the perfect choice for our short family trip! The hygiene was impeccable; the bedding was changed for every guest, and the floors were so clean we felt comfortable walking barefoot. Even the washing machine had no strange odors inside. The facilities were very family-friendly: the washing machine solved the problem of changing clothes for the kids, and the gas stove quickly heated water for washing up. The room also had enough tables, chairs, and wardrobes for storing luggage. The environment was peaceful, with a small garden downstairs that was lovely for an evening stroll. The indoor lighting was excellent, and ventilation was good, so it didn't feel stuffy at all. The service was especially thoughtful; my family forgot a charger, and the front desk proactively helped us out. They also kindly reminded us about gas usage precautions. The whole experience was meticulous and considerate, and my family praised my choice!"

"The great part is the location very convenient few minutes walk to MRT Hua Qiang Lu and shopping mall. And the price is affordable and consider cheap. I stay in level 5 corner unit, from window can see the main shopping mall but a bit noisy from the car sound even if I closed the window. The roof top having 2 whaling machines for clothing . But I only found it on my last day. I stayed 3 nights in Maker Hotel."

"After checking in, I mentioned that the AC in the room was blowing a bit directly. The front desk immediately replied, ”We'll fix it for you right away.” Less than 10 minutes later, someone came to resolve the issue and patiently showed me how to adjust the fan speed mode. "## Environment:
Let me tell you, staying on the 20-something floor, when you open the window and look out, the night view of Shenzhen is breathtaking! The city lights twinkle like a scattering of gold leaf on black velvet. It's stunning! Although it's bustling downstairs, the room is quiet once you close the windows; you can barely hear car horns. The elevator zips up so fast your ears pop, like it's shooting straight into the clouds!
## Hygiene:
The floor is so clean you can see your reflection, and there's not a speck of dust in the white tile grout. The duvet and pillows have a fresh, sun-dried scent, and they feel smooth and perfectly clean. How clean is the bathroom? I'm telling you – you could practically lick the floor and not get sick (just kidding)! There wasn't even a water stain on the toothbrush cup, and the towels were sparkling white with a faint scent of disinfectant, which was really reassuring.
## Service:
The front desk girl had such a sweet smile. She called me 'Boss' and 'Auntie' and even slowed down her Mandarin when she heard my Fuzhou accent. When I called for an extra blanket at night, it was delivered to my door in three minutes by a polite young man. The auntie clearing dishes in the breakfast area was also very diligent; she immediately came to help when she saw me with a plate and even asked, 'Would you like another bowl of porridge?' – it felt as warm as being at home. Guest relations manager Eason also arranged the room and fruit, providing excellent service.
## Facilities:
The gym equipment gleamed, and the treadmills faced the high-rises outside, making my run feel lighter. There were plenty of outlets in the room, including USB ports, so no fighting over charging spots. The electric curtains glided open with a 'whoosh' at the touch of a button – super fancy! The shower had strong water pressure, and the hot water came quickly, washing away all my fatigue.
“The price is a bit higher than a regular hotel, but everything is done to make you comfortable. Next time I'm in Shenzhen, I'm staying at The St. Regis again – I'm a Fuzhou person, and my word is my bond, I won't lie to you!”

"A Reception staff (a male) was not conversant in English at all and I had to speak to another one who fortunately does speak a bit of English.
Hotel facade is beautiful but lobby area was a bit underwhelming. Room was big and spacious and quality furnishing. But for such a big room only comes with one bed. Need to pay for an extra bed. Also what I find ridiculous is that room sleeps 3 persons but breakfast is only for 2. Similarly if room sleeps 2,breakfast is only for 1. This means you are “forced” to buy an additional breakfast. So ridiculous. No other hotel in the world does this, only China."

Nowadays, it is one of the most exciting cities in China and is often referred to as "China's Silicon Valley". It is located in the south of China, close to Hong Kong. There are so many things to do here that you'll never run out. Walk around Huaqiangbei and take a look at the endless array of electronic products and trinkets. Stroll through Nantou Ancient Town or climb Lianhua Mountain to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Best Areas to Stay in Shenzhen
Futian CBD
This area has all the best things! You will find shiny skyscrapers, shopping in Coco Park, and the best nightlife in this city. There are many subway lines passing through here, so it's very convenient to get around. Staying in a hotel might be a bit more expensive, but the location is well worth it.
- Slang Hotel: Price from US$25. It opened in 2022, is 3 kilometers away from Futian Railway Station and close to Shixia Metro Station. Close to Tiantai Night Market and Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. Has parking, good facilities, and is popular with couples.
- Langhua Audio-Visual Qingju: Price from US$12. Nice hotel apartment near subway and One Avenue Mall. 6th-floor park, clean and quiet rooms, friendly staff. Good value, great for those prioritizing location and convenience.
Shenzhen North Railway Station
Ideal for easy access to high-speed trains, with good transport links to the rest of the city.

Here's a warm tip: Some tourists can enjoy a 6-day visa-free stay to explore the Guangdong region - it's definitely worth a try!

When I ordered takeout late at night and forgot chopsticks, they promptly helped me out! The room was spacious and very clean, and there are so many great places to eat nearby!

BBoboThe HUAQIANG BEI CITY HOTEL is brand new, and it was our first time staying there. The fresh, stylish decor made it feel very comfortable and clean, with no lingering 'new renovation' smell in the room. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient; despite being in the bustling Huaqiangbei area, the rooms were very quiet with excellent soundproofing. The restaurant's food was exquisite, and the dining environment was elegant. The front desk service was exceptionally thoughtful and detailed; upon check-in, they upgraded our room and gave us afternoon tea vouchers. On our departure day, they proactively extended our check-out time to 3 PM and even gave us a souvenir and bottled water. We're very grateful!

Iivy_5471As a beachfront resort hotel, the sea view is beautiful, especially on a clear day, comparable to Sanya. However, the sand at Dameisha is very coarse and quite rough on the feet. The hotel is large with many rooms, but the room size is tiny. This is truly the smallest and oldest InterContinental I've ever stayed in. Upon entering the room, there was an immediate smell of dampness and mold. The room lighting was dim, and the furniture colors were dark, making it feel very oppressive and uncomfortable. The single beds in the twin room were 1.2 meters wide, which is very narrow. The description said it was renovated in 2020, but the old condition of the facilities suggests it's at least a decade old. Also, the toilet and curtains are not electric, which is very inconvenient. The public swimming pool at the hotel is excellent, large, and the water temperature is suitable. Staff members are always on hand to monitor safety, which is reassuring. Breakfast is plentiful, and the dining area is quite spacious. There were many people checking in, probably due to the holiday, and I had to queue for a long time. The room wasn't ready, so I asked if they would call me when it was. The front desk said no, and that I'd have to come back to the front desk to ask, giving the reason that there were too many people checking in... I've never seen anything like it! Has the hotel never hosted so many guests before? The cleaning lady was excellent, very meticulous in cleaning, and the room was spotless. She was responsive and always willing to help, I'm very grateful! If it weren't for the great cleaning lady, the hotel's service wouldn't even get a 3-star rating. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its proximity to the sea; you just walk downstairs to the beach, and you can see the sea from your room, which is very nice. During the National Day holiday, the hotel price went up to over 3000 a night. For this room size, facilities, and service, I personally think it's very overpriced. I'd consider it acceptable if it were around 1000. I've stayed at many InterContinental hotels, and this one is indeed a bit subpar.

The view from the window is great; you can see the sea. Of course, there's also a construction site outside with new skyscrapers being built. The gym gets full marks – it takes up half a floor, very luxurious, and has everything you could need. The mini-bar snacks and drinks are plentiful, with Evian water and sparkling Evian water in glass bottles, which was very satisfying 😁

I came to Huaqiangbei for electronics business and chose Fengyu Apartment as my base. The overall living experience exceeded my expectations. The new and well-equipped facilities, coupled with the spacious and open views, made my short stay very comfortable. The only minor drawback was the absence of bath towels in the bathroom, but this doesn't stop it from being a highly recommended accommodation option in the area.
1. Facilities and Amenities: 9.2/10
The apartment's hardware is its biggest highlight, perfectly meeting the need for a 'ready-to-move-in' convenience. Appliances like the air conditioner, washing machine, and refrigerator are all newer models. The air conditioner cools quickly and operates quietly, so noise wasn't an issue at night. The washing machine has a drying function, which means clothes washed during the rainy season can be dry in half a day, saving the hassle of hanging them to dry. The furniture also shows no obvious signs of wear; the desk is spacious, and the sofa is soft, making it comfortable for both work and relaxation. Especially noteworthy is the bathroom's wet/dry separation design, complete with an anti-slip mat in the shower area and a mirrored storage cabinet above the vanity, keeping it tidy and uncluttered and greatly enhancing the living experience.
2. View and Lighting: 9.0/10
The room's view and natural lighting far exceeded expectations. The south-facing window has no tall buildings blocking it, so during the day, opening the window reveals the bustling streetscape of the Huaqiangbei area. Sunlight floods the room, making it exceptionally bright even without turning on the lights, and giving the interior a wonderfully airy feel. In the evening, the lights of distant buildings gradually come on, offering a sense of urban life without the disturbance of traffic noise from below. Relaxing by the window after a day's work was incredibly pleasant.
3. Detail Services: 7.0/10
The convenient location goes without saying; it's within a 10-minute walk to Huaqiangbei subway station and the electronics market. Downstairs, there's a convenience store and breakfast shops, making daily errands and commuting very hassle-free. However, the only downside is the lack of bath towels in the bathroom. I had to use my own small towel as a temporary solution, which might be inconvenient for travelers who forgot their towels or seek ultimate convenience. If basic toiletries like bath towels could be provided in the future, the attention to detail would be even better.
Overall Review
All in all, Fengyu Apartment, with its excellent facilities, open views, and convenient location, is very suitable for those visiting Huaqiangbei for business trips or extended stays. If you don't mind bringing your own bath towel, this is a premium choice that balances comfort and convenience, and its 8.5 rating is well-deserved.

The staff were not only incredibly personable but also their service attitude was exceptionally warm and attentive. During check-in and check-out, they were meticulous and even thoughtfully provided recommendations for local attractions and dining spots, which significantly enhanced my positive impression.
The guest rooms were equally impressive, surprisingly spacious with a thoughtful layout. The decor was minimalist yet stylish. They were spotlessly clean, and all essential amenities were provided. Lying in bed, it truly felt like a cozy home away from home.
The hotel's gym was a definite highlight. The equipment was well-maintained and user-friendly. Plus, there were professional trainers on hand to assist, making it comfortable even for fitness beginners to work out.
Breakfast was another delightful surprise. The aroma of freshly baked bread was inviting, and there was a good balance of hot and cold dishes, along with a variety of freshly prepared beverages. It was a true pleasure to start the day with such a delicious and substantial breakfast.

Our room was cozy and tastefully decorated, with all the soft furnishings thoughtfully designed, creating a truly wonderful ambiance. After check-in, the front desk staff proactively arranged a shuttle to take us directly to Building 40.
Our dedicated WeChat concierge was available 24/7, proactively sending us breakfast times, local guides, and helpful tips. They responded instantly to any small request, and each evening, they reminded us about the complimentary 'goodnight dessert soup' available at the front desk. The soup, served daily from 8:30 PM to 9:50 PM, was wonderfully sweet and incredibly soothing. Paired with a fresh and delicately presented small fruit platter, enjoying it before bed truly brought a burst of happiness! ✨
The in-room amenities were incredibly thoughtful; small touches like electric mosquito repellent and steam eye masks were provided, and even the mini-bar drinks were complimentary! The breakfast staff were equally attentive. This morning, we overslept and rushed to the restaurant just before closing, but the staff kindly told us not to worry and specifically extended the breakfast time for us! Upon check-out, we even received an unexpected farewell gift. It's clear that every single detail here is handled with immense care and thoughtfulness!!!
