Appreciate the staff for pushing our luggage into rm and valet park our rental car. Breakfast and dinner spread were great! Room was massive and amenities like the indoor and outdoor onsen were decent too

Had a great stay in Mimatsukan. The staff are great, incredibly friendly and great service. The woman who checked me in gave some great recommendations for local food spots. The room was great and I had a delicious breakfast to go with it. Location of the ryokan is fantastic, minutes away from the bus stop and a short walk away from the onsen steps. Highly recommend if you are visiting Ikaho

This hotel has been around for quite some time, but the rooms have been renovated and are very comfortable. The public hot spring bath is relatively small and feels a bit dated, but the breakfast was surprisingly delicious and exceeded our expectations. The entire hot spring town was once a thriving destination, though some areas now show signs of age and lack of maintenance. Overall, it is a place worth visiting once to experience its history and atmosphere. I would recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay and good value

The Japanese-Western style room is spacious and has a great view.

Dinner is delicious with wide variety of foods. Staff are nice in parking our car and helpful in getting our luggage.

Stayed there for 2 nights as a solo traveller. Most staff couldn't speak English but tried their best to communicate via translator apps and provided excellent service. Breakfast & dinner were served in the common rooms at Level 2, and the spread was different for each day. Food was pretty decent and very generous servings. Access to the public baths & rooftop onsens are limited by timings, staff will inform you at check in. Location is excellent, very near to the Ikaho bus stop that has the buses to Shibukawa JR station. Note it is on a very steep slope so you will have difficulties if travelling with heavy suitcases. Generally a very pleasant stay, and was very warmed by the heartfelt service.

The slope leading to the entrance is steep and difficult to walk up, but the room is very clean, so I'm satisfied.

The hotel has a great location, very close to the stone steps. We stayed for two days, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The housekeeping staff were friendly and polite, and the rooms were clean and spacious. The only downside was that the onsen (hot spring) only had one indoor and one outdoor section, which was a bit of a shame. The outdoor onsen was on the rooftop, so you couldn't shower, only soak. The indoor onsen was on the second floor, where you could shower, which was more convenient. The onsen area had a wide variety of body washes, lotions, toners, and more – everything you could need was available, which was great.

It's alright, it's just at the top of the slope.

Dinner could be served at either 6:00 or 6:15 PM. Breakfast could be served at either 8:00 or 8:15 AM. Amenities included a rinse-in shampoo and disposable body soap in the room. Toothbrushes were also included with the towels. The open-air bath was on the 6th floor and the regular bath was on the 2nd floor, so it was a bit of a hassle to get between them if you wanted to use both. The food was very delicious. I was very satisfied.

Enjoy the hotel's delicious meals, experience the friendly and attentive service of the staff, and soak in the hot springs while admiring the mountain views of Haruna. This is a place I'd definitely want to stay at again on my next visit to Gunma!

Despite making a last-minute reservation, they were quick to respond, which was very helpful. When I checked in, the female staff member at the front desk gave me a tour of the hotel and explained the nearby restaurants. It was very polite and easy to understand. With easy access to the Stone Steps, I was able to explore the surrounding shops on foot after checking in! For dinner, I went to a restaurant recommended by Mimatsukan, and it was easy to enter alone, and the food was delicious, so I was very satisfied. There are two types of baths: an open-air bath and a large public bath, and I enjoyed them both! There is also a day-use hot spring facility nearby, so I recommend using that if you want to spend a lot of time in the baths. I would definitely stay again.

I stayed here in mid-February on a solo trip. The staff were very friendly, making for a very enjoyable stay. It's located halfway up a very steep hill, so you'll be out of breath by the time you get there. However, it's close to the stone steps, so I found it very convenient. The food was also delicious.
