The Hotel was great and the Hostess were amazing . I went with my son who is in his 20’s and he also loved the Place , the food and the owners. We had a really good experience. It is a beautiful Beach front hotel, with amazing views, great Gourmet food and very awesome Hostesses . Greatly recommended!

Lovely stay at Coco De Mer! Ran by a friendly family, we felt welcomed and very relaxed during our stay.  We made the booking last minute at 9pm and the check in process was seamless!  The rooms were clean and comfortable, AC worked well and we slept so well! We got the breakfast basket delivered to our room every morning with a fresh bagel and salad, yoghurt and fruit.  In the summer months they have a jacuzzi and run pizza/BBQ nights which sound lovely! So glad we found Coco de Mer and would recommend for anyone to stay here!

This was my first time visiting Minamiizu, and a friend recommended this hotel – it truly lived up to expectations! The accommodations were great, and the food was delicious. My only complaint is regarding the shuttle service. The day before check-in, I specifically asked about pickup details through Trip.com customer service. The hotel only sent a text message with the pickup time, but not the location. I assumed, like most hotels, that it would pick up in front of the JR station. To my surprise, I waited from 2 PM to 3 PM and saw no sign of the hotel bus. I started to feel something was wrong and checked Trip.com, where I saw a guest comment mentioning that after 3:10 PM, there would be no more pickups. Panicked, I immediately called the hotel. That's when I learned the hotel bus has a specific waiting point, around the corner, to the right of the JR station (and then to the right again). If this isn't communicated beforehand, and there are no signs at the station, it's impossible for guests to know where to wait. Therefore, I strongly suggest the hotel standardize its pickup service by clearly stating both the pickup time and location in advance. Both pieces of information are essential!

Далековато ! Но оно того стоит Прекрасный пляж . На рецепции все объяснили ) забронировали приватный Онсен. Купались ночью в бассейне ☺️ это лучшее , что может быть . Бар работающий с 20 до 22 часов и бармен Хироку , который готовил нам коктейли отличный джин-тоник за 300 йен -это просто подарок !!! Хироку тебе привет от девчонок из России и спасибо за отдых !! Комнаты чистые и уютные ! Вещи можно было оставить после выезда и сходить на пляж ЗАВТРАКИ ! Таких завтраков я ни в одной гостинице в Японии не ела )) омлет , овощи , фрукты , панкейки и безлимитный кофе 🙏🥰 Вид с обрыва шикарен 🥹 отель Сирахама очень милый и уютный ! Рекомендую 🥲🙏 Трансфера к сожалению не оказалось ((( Но я бы вернулась сюда ещё 😍✨🫠🙏

It was the best place where my wife and I had ever rested. And the hotel and the whole city of Shimoda is a paradise. We liked absolutely everything. And the hotel employee - Kaori, is an exceptional nature person. She gives her work 200% and is the heart of this hotel. Thanks to her scrupulousness, sensitivity and care, there was a feeling that my mother was taking care of us in the hotel. We will definitely come back again! We advise everyone to visit this city and this beautiful hotel at least once. Visit also Ebisu Island, but treat this place with great respect, please! --- これは妻と私にとって最高の休暇でした。ホテルも下田市全体もまさに楽園です。すべてが素晴らしかったです。そして、ホテルスタッフの香織さんは本当に素晴らしい方です。彼女は仕事に200%の情熱を注ぎ、このホテルの心臓部と言える存在です。彼女の細やかな気配り、思いやり、そして優しさのおかげで、まるで母親に世話をしてもらっているような気持ちになりました。必ずまた来ます！この街とこの素晴らしいホテルには、ぜひ一度訪れてみることをお勧めします。恵比寿島にもぜひ足を運んでみてください。ただし、島を最大限の敬意をもって扱ってくださいね！

This ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) is run by an elderly couple. It felt like staying at a relative's house, full of warmth. The building is a bit old, but it's kept impeccably clean, so we felt completely at ease. By chance, there was a cancellation when we stayed, so we literally had the whole place to ourselves (lol). The food was truly delicious. Each dish was prepared with such care, and meal times were pure bliss. Even for breakfast, we had turban shell mixed rice. They thought of everything; since the portions were large, they even provided plastic wrap for us to take leftovers if we couldn't finish it all. The variety and freshness of the fruit served at breakfast were incredible; I wondered how many different kinds there were! It was a truly impressive stay. When we left, they gave us a processed photo taken during our meal and homemade lotion prepared by the wife as gifts. This is a wonderful ryokan that I would confidently recommend to everyone, but since the couple is elderly and can't overexert themselves, guests should try to make things easier for them, perhaps by tidying up after themselves. I definitely want to visit again someday.

Quite affordable considering its proximity to the beach. The place gives a homey vibe. It’s clean and quiet. It’s run by Aoki-san and Keiko-san, a really nice couple. Those traveling by public transport shouldn’t be worried about access as long as you check the bus schedule of the day. We got lucky going back to Shimoda station since Aoki-san was also headed there and gave us a ride. Definitely going back! ありがとうございました Aoki-san. 🥰

The sea-view room exceeded expectations, though the Indian-origin staff was a slight concern. Overall, it was still very good, but the price was a bit high. The service was excellent, but dinner wasn't very good and cost 180. The free hot spring was great.

Amazing place to stay,aesthetic view and a great amazing dinner and breakfast ambience. I choose and booked the private villa with pool and which is good,I enjoyed the dinner foods they served us,so classy and elegant presentation. So I ordered the bottle of botega champagne which is fit for the foods they offered. Lovely it was and amazing wonderful evening. After we had a night pool with my partner and we bring our own foods and drinks champagne for the long night to celebrate our stay. I’m very satisfied for my stay at this place. Staff was really nice and good at their service. Perfect 👌 I love to came back again soon… Thank you so much 🤞🏻❣️

How should I put it? This is definitely the concept of a youth hostel, but the youth hostel I booked for 1,890 yuan didn't even have breakfast, so it was not worth it. There was no way I could book another hotel because I had stayed in a newly renovated hostel run by an elderly couple that was over 60 square meters the night before. It cost the same amount, and that was super value! This is super not worth it 😓, and there is no elevator. The area is very small, just like the Japanese style. The bathroom is shared, although there is a small hot spring pool that is ok, but everything else is average. The quilt cover and mattress are that kind of brown, which is the color of the bed in a hotel that I fear the most. If it's not white, you can't tell whether it's clean or dirty. In short, it's okay to stay within 500 yuan. In the summer, you must check the weather. It rained heavily for two days when we went there 🌧️. We couldn't go out, and it was very inconvenient to take a taxi. Just for reference.
