We had an amazing experience at River tern bhadra. The staff is highly experienced and professional. Thanks for the kitchen staff for all the amazing food which was served during our stay (non spicy and non oily), home style. Yhe food is freshly prepared for each meal and the menu changes The flavors and taste was really nice. Thanks to the safari jeep drivers , haresh and the naturalist gopal, who are so knowledgeable just not about the wildlife but even the forest and landscape around. This is the only stay which exists in bhadra snd it is under jungle Lodge which we were experiencing the 1st time. The rooms may be basic but the view from each and every room is unbelievably beautiful. They even screen a movie at night at the restaurant sharing about the forest around. Highlights - great sightings of black panther, leopard, tucker, amazing birdlife, croc , indian gaur, wild bores , and many others. Great food and comfortable stay.

The staff at the lodge were helpful, always ready to assist. The food was another delightful aspect. Overall, River Tern Lodge is a fantastic destination for those seeking a blend of nature, and wilderness.

Jungle safari,boating and River turn birds very joyfull. Resort rooms very clean full. Staff behavior also very smooth. Food facility here is outsatanding. 5star rating.

River tern jungle lodge is a beautiful place, very scenic. The staff is very friendly. Safari was great experience. Rooms are clean and have a mind blowing view of the bhadra river. Food was also good. Would love to come back

Rooms are set in a wonderful location to watch the sunset and the birds on the splendid lake. The food is excellent and varied. All activities are on time and wonderfully led by passionate guides and drivers. We were lucky to see a leopard, a bear, a herd of bathing elephants most of all the staff is very well trained and motivated. A huge pleasure to be there.

River tern resort is lovely JLR property at the Bhadra dam & is surrounded by dense forest with amazing biodiversity & sighting opportunities. The resort has all necessary amenities, breath-taking views of the backwaters & sighting of birds from the balconies. The jeep & boat safaris arranged by the resort are experiences to be treasured. The food & bonfire at the resort add to the magical experience. Senior citizens need to be mindful of the multiple stairs & climbs to reach farther cottages. Network connectivity & wi fi is extremely poor. Cranky children can affect the experience for parents & other guests on the safaris.

We had a wonderful time at JLR River Tern Lodge, Bhadra. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The jeep safari was a great adventure, but the boat safari stole the show—there's nothing like gliding across calm waters with curious birds and animals popping up for us to say hello. The lodge’s surroundings are truly special, nestled amidst the vast waters of the Bhadra Dam. It’s where nature does all the talking, and you’re just happy to listen. The staff deserves a big shout-out: from the sharp-eyed safari guides and friendly boat navigators to the hardworking housekeeping team, the chef and crew whipping delicious meals, and the always-helpful folks at the reception. Even those working behind the scenes (and behind the trees!) deserve a mention for making everything run smoothly. I’d happily recommend River Tern Lodge to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with a side of adventure. It’s the perfect mix of calm and excitement—you won’t be disappointed!

The stay was excellent, main highlight being the location and safari. Food was delicious and staff were very courteous. They can improve the cleanliness of the bed linens.
