Reviews of Hotel Aoka Kamigoto

The location is excellent, close to the Aokata bus stop and convenient for getting to downtown Arikawa. There's a 24-hour Lawson just downstairs. I was very pleased with the room layout and design. It was very clean, newly decorated, and well-equipped. The separate wet and dry bathroom was a favorite. The staff were very friendly. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Goto.

It was a very clean and nice place. I thought the parking lot would be small, but there was another parking lot just a 20-second walk away. The entire hotel had a modern feel, so I had a great rest.

There was no dinner service, which was disappointing. There were hardly any places to eat around the hotel, so we went to a place near Aikawa Port. The photo shows the nearby Ozo Church.

It was very clean and nice. The bathroom was big and the bed was comfortable.

Lobby atmosphere ★5 = The reading corner on the left as you enter is especially nice. It has a wide selection of well-written books about the Goto Islands and church architecture. Makes you want to sit back and relax. There is also a fireplace that burns wood, making you want to come here even in winter. Restaurant★4.5=Hospitality is excellent. In particular, the explanation of the wine by the person who seemed to be a meter was good. Even the leftover bottles were brought to my room after hearing about my schedule in advance. The food was delicious, but the main Goto beef (I think it was thigh meat) was a little tough and I thought it would be difficult for older people to eat. Room★4 = The view from the room is not particularly good as the view is of the blue city. The comfort of the bed is perfect. It is also easy to use that the toilet and bath are separated. However, it is a bit of a problem that the sink is in the room where the bed is. I think this may have been due to space constraints, but I think it would be nice to have to brush my teeth next to a friend who is relaxing. Other = If you use Jetfoil from Nagasaki, you can use the free shuttle bus from Narao Port, which will drop you off right in front of Hotel AOKA. This was very convenient. If you use a taxi from Narao to Aokata, it will take about 40 minutes and cost money. The free shuttle bus is only for Jetfoil users, so those coming from Nagasaki are recommended to use Jetfoil. Breakfast ★5 = You can choose between a Japanese ochazuke set and a Western sandwich. The sandwich is full of volume, with lots of toppings sandwiched between thick Yamagata bread. My friend chose the ochazuke set, which when it arrived, you could choose from about 5 different types of pickled fish, including yellowtail and sea bream, and it looked really delicious. I should have gone that way. Well, the sandwich was delicious, but... Overall, I would rate this as a comfortable inn where you would want to stay for 3 or 4 days in a row if the price was a little more reasonable.
