The service was great, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. However, there's a serious problem with stink bugs (Kame Mushi) here, so if you're bothered by insects, I wouldn't recommend it.

Toyota Shirakawa-go Eco-Institute is a nice place for you to explore the forest pard of Shirakawa-go. They offer a free forest walk tour which can let you know about the diversity of the area. The 6 course French dinner is nice and the bread served in breakfast was lovely. The room is relatively small but the bed is comfortable. Will recommend this place for those who are looking for exploring Shirakawa-go.

That is a beautiful&good place, suitable for family vacations. Many activities there. The staff are warm and attentive. The room and bathroom are clean, beautiful and spacious. The bed is soft and comfortable. Both meals were delicious.

The French set dinner was really delicious and buffet breakfast is good too. Very spacious room and happy with onsen facilities .

The building quality is very neat and clean. The dinner course and breakfast buffet are amazing. The staff are very polite and helpful. There are a lot of family activities you can do here. The hotel located a little bit far from the village, but that's make the hotel environment very quiet and dedicated. If you insist to go to the village, you can ask the staff for a shuttle bus service. There is no private bathroom in my booked room. Maybe the hotel offered you only hot spring bathing (Onsen). The wifi is not that good when there are many guest in the hotel. If you ok with hot spring bathing, do not have any business in the village and do not require internet connection while living, this is very good hotel to stay and enjoy the Shirakawa-go vibe.

I loved it! The hotel is located on a mountaintop, with a winding road leading up the hill. The scenery was breathtaking. The snow was quite deep, and the children had a blast playing in it. There were no showers in the rooms; you had to use the large public bathroom. The hotel dinner was also fantastic, with each dish exquisite and delicious. There are also some hotel activities, but you need to book in advance.
