Reviews of Shizukuishi Prince Hotel

This onsen hotel is perfect for families, and it has a fantastic ski resort. We stayed there in late March, and even though the ski slopes were already closed, the snow view from the hot spring bath was absolutely stunning. Plus, the hotel shuttle bus was incredibly convenient! 😄

The hotel shuttle from Morioka Station takes about 45 minutes. The room was clean, but the Wi-Fi was a bit slow. The breakfast and dinner options were pretty much the same every day. The best part was definitely the ski resort; there were hardly ever any queues.

I highly recommend it to everyone! 🎿 Fantastic Slopes The Shizukuishi ski resort is vast, has excellent snow quality, and best of all, it's not crowded! No waiting in line for lifts, so you can fully enjoy skiing. It's great for both beginners and experienced skiers. 🏔️ Breathtaking Scenery From the mountaintop, you get a panoramic view of Mount Iwate, often called the 'Mount Fuji of Tohoku.' The magnificent scenery is truly unforgettable, adding an amazing visual treat to your skiing adventure. 🏨 Super Convenient Ski-in/Ski-out The hotel's ski-in/ski-out access is incredibly convenient! Just gear up, step outside, and you're directly on the slopes. When you're done, you can ski right back to the hotel, saving so much time and effort. ♨️ Post-Ski Relaxation After a full day of skiing, returning to the hotel for a hot spring soak is wonderfully relaxing. Plus, there's delicious Japanese cuisine to enjoy. It's truly rejuvenating for both body and mind. Both the skiing experience and the accommodation services here are impeccable! If you're coming to Tohoku for skiing, you absolutely must stay here. Highly, highly recommended! 🎌❄️

The hotel's hot spring rooms are a bit dated, but they offer great value for money during ski season. It's more convenient if you're driving, and you can head to Morioka for dinner and shopping in the evening.

My partner and I spent a quiet night in the Hotel. It was warm, comfortable and relaxing.

The services are good, but the rooms from 3rd to 7th floors should be upgrade.

The hotel is loaded with tourist groups who are unfortunately pretty rowdy and rude. Service at the hotel itself was excellent, and for the price and location it’s a reasonable stay, as a ski-in-ski-out hotel. Breakfast is a standard Prince Hotel buffet.

So lucky to have great snow condition. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this ski resort hotel.

The worst Prince Hotel that I have stayed.

The hotel is situated on a quiet hillside, which becomes a ski area in winter. On my arrival Saturday, it was almost fully booked, mostly with groups of elderly Japanese guests. The room was thoughtfully equipped with a seven-piece bedding set, a big plus, along with a capsule coffee machine and adorable teru teru bozu (Japanese teru bozu dolls). I didn't go to the public bath because it was too crowded, but it looked nice from the photos. By the way, the hotel's breakfast and dinner were better than expected, using local specialties and ingredients.

I was deeply moved by the opportunity to see the starry sky at night via ropeway, something truly unique. The guide taught me about Venus, the star of love and beauty. It was incredibly bright and beautiful. I was also impressed by the magnificent view of Mount Iwate and the distant Mount Himegami from my room. And to think there were carp swimming in the hot spring! I was so surprised. Thank you to all the staff! I would love to return again.

The buffet had a wide variety of dishes, and the food was quite good 👍 The room was clean and comfortable.

Ski-in/ski-out is a convenient and comfortable option for skiing. I stayed for three days and the hotel's corner room with its panoramic view was fantastic. The ski resort is quite large, suitable for individual or family vacations. Breakfast and dinner are both plentiful, but it would be even better if they were different each day.
