The hotel is located well for the town centre, railway station, pubs, restaurants. It is in need of a re- furb. We pretty much always stay in Premier Inns when we go to a city/town however, we would not stay here again for the following reasons: 1) On arrival we were given a Double Room rather than a Family Room by mistake - the staff member did apologise & helped us to re-locate our bags but not a good start - just hassle. 2) The corridor and bedroom smelled stale - they need to get some window opene d up and get some fresh air flowing every day. 3) The bedroom carpet had been hoovered but was generally dirty 4) The cutlery was dirty at breakfast 5) Only one lift working but no note on the broken lift to say this/explain why. 6) Herd of elephants in the room above 206 from 2am to 4am - no phone in room to ring Reception at the time and no one to tell in the Morning - see 7) 7) General absence of staff in the Reception Area ( especially in the morning when check out happens) so no one to feedback to face to face.
