Luang Prabang Hotels with Shuttle Service

When our driver pulled up to the hotel by a rickety bridge over the river, we were a bit nervous as the hotel looks tiny from the outside. What we thought was the hotel was actually the lobby and the hotel is actually quite large and sprawling with buildings and bungalows scattered next to the river. The hotel has a lovely infinity pool by the river with a lounge chairs, beach towels and an affordable pool bar with snacks for sale. The rooms were spacious with large balconies. The toilet was by the front door so you had to exit the WC walk around the corner to the bathroom to wash your hands - sort of a weird set up, but did help in the morning for 2 people to get ready. This was the only hotel we stayed in with dual sinks and a long vanity so excellent for 2 travelers and a big plus! The shower was a walk in so east access. The hotel also has a restaurant where breakfast (included) is served in the morning. Unfortunately it was a buffet with limited options and the food that was supposed to be hot was always cold and unappetizing. The hotel uses tiny candles to try to keep the food warm but this method does not work at all. The hotel no longer has a shuttle to town which is a negative as you need to walk across a scary rickety bridge to get to town. The hotel does not have a gym which is a requirement, in my opinion, if you want to be a 5 star resort. My only other comment to management is to find a few better English speaking employees as we had difficulty communicating with staff. Yes we know we are in Laos and should learn to speak their language but I feel when you cater to tourists you need a few people in each area to speak the universal language for business. We did enjoy our stay and can recommend this hotel to others.

This hotel is great value, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the decoration is Chinese style, the breakfast is mainly Chinese food, the taste is good. The boss is Chinese, we can communicate in Chinese, the hotel provides free airport pick-up and drop-off and pick-up to the foreigner street, the service is thoughtful and enthusiastic, the hotel general manager helped us plan the itinerary for our free travel, the experience was great. The water temperature of the swimming pool is very comfortable. By the way, I have stayed in many hotels in Laos, and this is the first time I have found a clothes hanger designed on the balcony. We came from Vientiane and Vangrong, and washed a lot of clothes. There is also a washing machine for use, which is very convenient. Highly recommended!

Vientiane, Vangvieng, Luang Prabang, we stayed in Vientiane for 8 days. I am most satisfied with this hotel. The decoration and hardware of the new hotel are very good. It is opened by a Chinese and it is very convenient for consultation. The boss, Ah Hui, was very nice. He picked us up and dropped us off, and even sent us a car to take us back to the high-speed rail station. If you have anything you don’t know, just ask him. I will only comment if I am extremely dissatisfied or extremely satisfied. There is such a friendly Chinese hotel in Laos. It's far away from the city, not noisy, and the breakfast is also in Chinese taste. The photo was taken at the hotel, and the perspective is unparalleled. I will stay here again next time I come to Luang Prabang, and will also recommend it to relatives and friends.

The staff is warm and attentive, and the restaurant environment is also clean and comfortable, giving people a homely feeling. Very good reviews. I was a little nervous before arriving because I saw some reviews saying that the swimming pool was not clean and the room smelled. In fact, the arrival experience was very good. The front desk staff could communicate fluently in English. The service staff carried towels and sheets and cleaned the rooms patiently every day. Just like this city, except for the dining area in the night market, everything was clean and tidy. Perhaps it was because of the faith. There are hundreds of temples in Luang Prabang City of Ten Thousand Buddhas. There is a unicorn tail kitten in the hotel. It is lively and cute with a good personality, but friends who don’t have cats are advised not to tease it. Cat owners understand the strength of cats playing and biting. It is recommended to rent a motorcycle to travel. This time I took a taxi from loca, which was also very convenient. Except for the foreigner street, there are few people in the area where the hotel turns out, but it also has the style of the French colonial period at that time, and there are many good-looking shops. There will be different dishes for breakfast every day. The only thing that remains unchanged is the rice noodles, which I must eat every day. The swimming pool is cleaned every morning. I swam once. It is divided into a children's play area about up to the calf, a safety area of ​​about 130, and a deep water area of ​​150. I hope that Chinese tourists visiting Luang Prabang will pay attention to managing their children’s volume, not disturb other tourists, and try to integrate into the peaceful and clean environment here.

The hotel was clean, employees were very helpful and kind. They had refreshments already in our rooms which was very convenient and the best part was they can check in our bags, weight, and get the luggage tag being they had connections we Lao Airlines. That was definitely a plus. We didn’t have to rush to try to get in our bag at all and they take you back to the airport and make sure we knew where we needed to go. I would definitely try this hotel to anyone.

They got beautiful river views can overwhelm whatever thing.  The morning breakfast overlooking the river was amazing.   The bad thing is that I have to take a taxi every time I go downtown, but luckily they have shuttle tuk-tuk.

Not much to say, which is rather positive. As advertised. The location was convenient without being crowded. The hotel itself was charming and relaxing. The restaurant offered a good mix of options with a wide range of affordable local dishes and some western alternatives. Both were good choices. The cleaning staff were efficient. And the service was great. There was always someone available to help, happily. The spa was surprisingly cheap for an in-house spa, but still maintained standards across the board. The shuttle, which never required any waiting time, was useful. I guess there was a bit to say, all positive. Would comfortably recommend.

It was our first time in Luang Prabang, and we picked Kiridara based on other reviews. Rest-assured, it was a smart choice. The location was great. While not in the center, there is a market super close and a supermarket about 10 minutes away. For the rest the hotel offers a free shuttle which is on call until about 9 pm, and takes you more or less everywhere you need to go. The rooms were clean, nicely layed out and offered everything you need. If something was wrong, it was fixed quickly. The pool was refreshing and offered a great view. The drinks from then pool bar were delicious. The highlight was the breakfast. There was a small, but nice buffet plus a menu. The a la carte menu was the biggest plus. You could pick up to four dishes, each from one category, like eggs, hearty or sweet. Be sure to eat yourself through all the options, while you stay - it‘s worth it! All in all a great stay, and we will come back to Kiridara for sure for our next stay.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the Sofitel team in Luang Prabang for creating such a warm, welcoming and accommodating stay. Across all departments, the staff went above and beyond, and collectively set a new standard for Service. Most notably Vard, Leng, Mr. Kao and Youth at the front desk, Mr. Umni, Keili and Souk from F&B and Mr. Anshul Sharma, the hotel Manager, who has done an exceptional job at leading the team and making the Sofitel, Luang Prabang a must stay haven in South East Asia. The hotel grounds were picturesque and serene, the rooms tastefully designed with ample space to luxuriate, the food (particularly breakfast) at Governors Grill delicious and fresh. But above all, the service was unlike any hotel I have stayed. From remembering the small details of our personal preferences, to recommending the best activities and experiences, to assisting with a medical emergency - my partner and I felt truly cared for. I am deeply grateful for such a beautiful and memorable Christmas and New Year, and we already look forward to our return!
