Hotel Spongiola

This hotel is a hidden gem. The facilities are good and the rooms comfortable but it is the service from the staff that makes the stay so good. Nothing was too much trouble - even a late night ferry drop off & pick up from the mainland after a pizza meal.

Very nice place. The contact with the hotel was perfect. We were here with boat, the staff was very knowledgeable and very polite. From the hotel restaurant was a beautiful view. The restaurant was clear, the food were delicious with big portions. I recommend this hotel and restaurant for everyone. Nice beach with very clear water. We will come back here! Thank you. Maria

We spent 4 days in paradise.Is really hard to find the words to describe our experince with this beautiful hotel and people who work there.It’s not just about the hotel it’s about the feeling.Hotel is beautiful,extremely clean and has everything you need for perfect vacation.It’s on the beautiful location right at the beach,rooms are really nice,prices really normal.Food in the hotel restaurant is top class.But all this is not the most important thing,the most important thing about this hotel is that from the moment you enter you feel like you came home.People who work there are big family and they also want you to feel part of that family. From the owner to the maid, everyone works as a team to make the guest feel like they belong there.I was there with my son and my dog(yes they are extremely pet friendly) and we were very sad when we had to leave but for sure we will be coming back. My most sincere recommendations for this hotel and the island of Krapanj, you stole my heart.Thank you ❤️

Third visit to this remarkable vacation place , "small resort". Hospitality of the staff is amazing (Nino, Mario, Lucija, Iva and all the others....) nice food in hotel restoran, lovely beach bar....no cars no motorbikes...you can come with boat as well. All in all very quiet place that we will keep coming back to.

We learned about this hotel by booking a Strel Swimming Holiday - as this is part of the lodging package. It's squeaky clean and the room I stayed in had a queen and a second twin bed. Lots of wood trim and dark green accents in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the AC kept the room free from the heat of summer. Wifi is nice and strong and the signal does not drop. There's a mini fridge, TV and safe in the room. If you're American, remember to bring your own face washcloths; you won't find them in Croatian hotels/AirBnbs--just the bath and hand towels (and terry mat). Nino, Ivana and Iva were all very kind and professional. Ivana made my shuttle arrangements in and out of Split and even found me a place to take my departing flight's required Covid PCR test. Nino acquainted me to the Croatian indigenous wine grape varieties and made great recommendations. Tatiana in housekeeping was a vibrant and warm soul; I just adored her! Breakfast had a nice Euro continental spread and you just have to flag down one of the dining room attendants to run an egg order to the kitchen (scrambled was fluffier than the omelets) and there's a button-operated coffee machine for guests that cranks out espresso drinks. Down the paved waterfront path are a handful of outside restaurants, we tried several and Pizza Galeb was honestly quite good. My least favorite was the one at the very end. The hotel serves dinner as well and the beach area has a fun snack and cocktail bar. On our last day we swam around Kranpanj island (4k yards). Everything is walkable. The staff are completely facemask-compliant during Covid; the guests, not so much. I was impressed. Enjoy this car-less island and step back in time.
