Hunters Moon Hotel

We loved this hotel. For starters its situated in beautiful gardens just off the Byes river walk yet still within walking distance of Sidmouth sea front. It's easy to find, parking is free with electric chargers. As you enter this Georgian house there's a real wow factor. Impressive architecture with high ceilings and beautiful furnishings. Large lounge and dining room. Our room was immaculately clean and pleasantly decorated. En-suite was like new! Powerful walk in shower. Crisp white linen bedding and fluffy towels. Had the most comfortable bed and very quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food delicious. Wonderful yummy English breakfasts with fresh fruit salads, croissants, etc. What more can I say? I'm still waxing lyrical. We met a couple who have been visiting this family hotel for 60 years! an impressive accolade. Thanks Martyn, Julie and staff for making our Silver Wedding Anniversary such a memorable occasion. PS When visiting Sidmouth check out the Toy and Model Museum - good fun.

Lovely hotel where you genuinely feel like a guest. Very relaxed atmosphere with the guests' lounge making it very easy to socialise with other guests but plenty of space to find peace and quiet if you prefer your own company. Very comfortable room with spotless bathroom. Ample parking with electric car charging points in almost every space (may have been EVERY space but I can't be certain). Lovely garden and grounds, good food with great service from the plentiful and friendly staff.

We love this place. It's so relaxing. One of the reasons we keep coming back is that we are always made to feel so welcome. Martin, Julie and the team have maintained this characterful and charming countryside hotel and are also busy upgrading the grounds as well as the rooms. Close enough to town without being in town. Great base for walks, exploring or just chilling back. Great food too. We will see you soon.

We arrived for a 4 night 'Spring Weekend' with several of our friends from our Car Club. We were very impressed with the hotel, and our room. Also as we were even more impressed with the service and presentation of our evening meal, 3 courses of beautifully cooked food, presented on hot plates, by efficient and very pleasant serving staff. They couldn't do enough for us. Thank you all for a great weekend.

The best hotel in the UK I have come across in over 50 years. Very nice and helpful staff. Excellent food. Very clean rooms. Perfect parking. We were there with a group of Jensen owners for a long weekend, and we all fully enjoyed our stay. It is in my list of hotels in Europe that I would certainly consider staying again.

Super nice staff,incredible sleep/comfort and a fantastic breakfast. I went for 3 day and I could not fault it at all.I love what has been done with the place and it’s location in the heat of a wonderful sea side town with many restaurants,shops and things to do⭐️⭐️

Easter trip again, really lovely hotel. Feels like home, everybody is so welcoming. The food is amazing lots of choice to suit all. Rooms are lovely very clean everything you need. Thank you all and looking forward to staying again next Easter.

Another fantastic weekend at the Hunters Moon Hotel. It feels like we're visiting family every time we stay (and this was my 57th year of visiting!). Such a lovely team there and the food was amazing. Really lovely visit, definitely recommended.

After over 50 years of visiting I still look forward to staying here every Easter. Service is always faultless across all members of staff, nothing is too much trouble. Food always of a high standard with dietary needs catered for. Plenty of EV charging. Puts the big national hotel chains to shame... Thank you again...
