Angkor Village Hotel

Siem Reap Wat Bo Area
Khmer style hotel. The old hotel was renovated in 2017. The rooms are clean but small, no TV, wooden rooms are generally soundproof, and the elderly can't sleep well at night. It should be not far from the old market. Breakfast is very ordinary, it should be said that there is nothing to eat except mango. The entire hotel has a poor sense of service, especially a pregnant woman at the front desk who is very proud and should not rest at home. I have never seen a waiter with a real sense of service, and a bad attitude towards Chinese people and foreigners. Describes poor hotel management! On the last day of the flight, our family had four adults, one child and four large suitcases. On the day of check-in, I specifically said that the number of people and the number of luggage should be dropped off with five SUVs! It ’s awesome! The three worst hotels in Siem Reap. The first one is the Golden Temple Boutique Hotel and the second one is a beige hotel. There is a big difference in single service. Customers who live in the service industry without the most basic service consciousness really won't recommend others. And there is a problem with the water in this hotel. Some previous comments said that the water smells rusty. I don't see any rust, but I always feel a layer of oil after washing my hands. After washing with soap or shower gel in the bathroom, it is still a layer of oil. I don't know what happened. What's more interesting is that this hotel has almost no hotel reviews in 2019, so let Ctrip help to confirm that no one answered the phone after the customer service contacted the hotel for two days. Really speechless, do not answer any hotel calls? Ctrip customer service is very active, follow up from time to time, hard work!
Royal Crown Hotel & Spa

Big sturdy 3* hotel. Old fashioned oak in bedrooms. A little run down but did the job. Like bathroom toilet roll holder very tarnished. Also bathrobes in wardrobe dirty with stains. Good choice for breakfast but same every day. Very good quiet location. 5 mins to walk over bridge to night market and pub street. My room at back of hotel so very quiet. Didn’t care I didn’t get a view. Just wanted quiet. They organised airport pick up and temple travel. Early take away breakfast was also given to me without asking for my 4:30am temple sunrise visit! Nice surprise. Overall good value for money in good location but needs some love.

What a gorgeous property. I loved it. The food was wonderful, the service so attentive and the pool was beautiful. I would absolutely recommend this for a business traveler, a traveler needing a little pampering after a day at the temples or just a chance to relax. The breakfast was delicious.
City River Hotel

Stayed here 4 nights. Hotel clean and rooms a good size, bed was hard and uncomfortable but that seems the norm in Cambodia. Breakfast was ok with nice variety. Good location, 10 mins to Pub St but we drank at pop up river bars with friendly locals, it was good fun. Massage in Spa was great price at only $9 for hour. Best part is rooftop pool and bar, great after hot day visiting temples, lovely view across city. Didn’t use hotel driver for tours as he was annoying, found a local tuk tuk who spoke good English, he took us to all the sights for $20 for the day.

The environment is not to say, the only picky thing is that there is no trash can, especially in the bathroom, which is very embarrassing. Breakfast was good at the hotel, but I always take away breakfast so I only have bread and eggs. The portion is enough, the packaging is good and very attentive. I deliberately tried it at my restaurant for dinner. Fortunately, it is worth trying. I feel very good about the service, because I don't speak English and it is difficult to communicate, but I don't feel that the other party is a little impatient, it is really hard for them. I especially want to take a good rest in the hotel for a few days, because the schedule is rushed and there is no rest for a day. Every day, the sun leaves before the sun rises. To sum up, I will not forget that there is such a hotel in Cambodia and I would recommend it to friends.
Bodee Corner Hotel

I stayed in this hotel fir three nights. One of the first impressions on arriving at this hotel is stunning wooden decor. This gives the ambience of nature and authentic charm. Unlike some of the modern minimalist hotels this place oozed character and history. But the hospitality industry is about people. The welcoming reception staff were radiant and lavish with their smiles. As if we had been friends for years. The room I had chosen is described as a Junior Suite! What luxury and space. The large bed cover in white and burgundy was impressive and lavish. The lovely suede sofa sat strategically in front of the large screen wall tv. And to add to the spacious room was the sizeable balcony. Room service and cleaning was thorough and efficient as well as being discrete. The Bodee Corner Hotel is locate absolutely ideally in the Wat Bo area which featured as the Number Three spot in the world for being a great place to live and enjoy. The Old Market centre/Pub Street is only a few minutes away as is the Apsara Theatre. Just perfect fir convenience and choice of eateries, bars and other sites. If you miss this little haven of comfort you are missing the treat if your travels in Siem Reap.
