Hotels near Wat Katkanyaram in Siem Reap

Booked this hotel only for two nights 6-8 Jan. My past experience during my earlier travels in some cases was bad in the sense the hotel description and photographs were not factual. I reached the Angkor land Urban Botuque on 6 Jan afternoon to check in. First look at the Hotel building told me I have made the right choice. The most happening place in Siem Reap the Pub Street was about a km away. The hotel surrounding were very clean with a wide road in front and a big parking space in front. As soon as I entered the huge lobby with teak wood interiors I was greeted by the the hotel staff team. Check in took just a couple of minutes. Meanwhile the Manager of the hotel Mr. Eng Sona came and met me too which was a nice feeling. He said he is giving me a very good room on the fourth floor and if I did not mind he would shift me to a still better room the very next day which was then occupied. The room was very big and very comfortable. Had all the amenities. The next day the Manager showed me the other room on the third floor. I agreed to shift. This room too was large, the bathroom had a bath tub and in addition a separate glass bath enclosure too. It had a balcony too overlooking the swimming pool. The pool was excellent. Breakfast menu was also very good. The hotel arranged my tours too. Tuk Tuk and the motorcycle buggy called the Remork was always available just outside the hotel.. After this most wonderful experience in the first two days I extended my stay further for the remaining days too from 8- 11 Jan 24. The Manager Mr.Sona met me regularly to enquire if I was comfortable and whether I needed anything. His team of young boys and girls too were very responsive and greeted the guests everytime. I did not find any flaw or anything to complain about during my entire stay. I had the the most memorable experience in Angkor Land Urban Boutique thanks to Mr. Sona the Manager and his team.

I visited herein December 2019 and stayed for 11 nights in one of the poolside villas. I have to say, the room was amazing, the pool area was fantastic and I had the most wonderful time. After traipsing around Angkor Wat all day, it was wonderful to come back to such a peaceful and serene setting for a decent rest. I've recommended this resort to nearly all my friends since my return and I can't wait to go back there one day. Across the road from the resort there is a shop and two cafes, so you don't even have to go far for a cup of coffee or some local cuisine. I have nothing negative to say about this place. I loved it.

Apologies in advance for the long review but hopefully it will contextualise the review title! Booked to stay for three nights, hotel reached out in advance to arrange airport transfer (no charge) and my transfer was there ready and waiting when I landed with water and a cold towel. Arrived at the hotel and received a lovely welcome drink and nibbles. Staff were extremely warm and friendly, taking lots of time to explain everything about the hotel. The room was clean and of a very good standard, I’d deliberately opted for a room that wasn’t pool facing as I suspected it would be quieter facing away from the road. Reality is I don’t know for sure if there was any real difference but the room was very quiet and comfortable. Can’t say I missed the pool view. Room had very good Wi-Fi so was able to work one morning. Air con super effective. Netflix on the tv. Great rain shower with lots of pressure. I had a sun-rise tour booked so the hotel arranged a takeaway breakfast of my choice for me. Again ready at the time they said it would be (4am as per my request). The spa in the hotel (read massages and treatment) was brilliant. Can’t again rate it more highly and would definitely recommend. For us foreigners it’s incredibly affordable compared to back home. Complimentary lunch organised by the hotel was also superb. Hotel is within walking distance (5 mins) to the more touristy food streets and markets. Area felt extremely safe. Return airport transfer (again free) exactly on time as agreed. Honestly you can’t take clear communication and hotel organisation for granted. Thank you to all the team at the hotel for an amazing stay. You were all fantastic and I wish you all every success!

Breakfast is a lot of choices, Chinese dinner is more expensive, no one has seen it inside, it seems that there is a 10% tax on eating at a Cambodian restaurant, there is a free fruit delivery room in the afternoon, the service is very good, and the waiter looks at the first floor before the evening. To the foreign tourists, the birthday is warm, the hotel accommodation is nice and the environment is beautiful and quiet, there is no need to pay the deposit, the morning of the check-in is 10 o'clock in advance, it is fine, the telephone communication in advance has a pick-up service, my mother and I sit in the hall. Some people have a sweet and fragrant tea drink, and an ice towel picks up your hand. You will give them a passport and printed proof of check-in. They will go to live next time. My mom can’t go out and sit on the small balcony to see the scenery. Also comfortable, the hotel waiter will ask you if you need a tutu, the price is reasonable.

This hotel and its amazing staff are out of this world. This was the most pleasant, enjoyable stay of our entire life. The hotel is lovely, really charming and clean. The room was enormous, bright and well insulated and the breakfast was nice. The staff was over the top, really there are no words, they made us feel very welcomed and at home there! The bar at the pool is also amazing. We were also given a very nice breakfast for our 4am Angkor Wat tour and the staff even offered to call a tuktuk for us to visit the ruins another day. A tip: do not miss out the restaurant!!!! It is absolutely delicious! Had we known our stay was gonna be so pleasant, we would have booked for more days! It is definitely our go-to hotel and we are looking forward to going again hopefully soon. We've been to many nice hotels in many different coutries and no one is even close to this one. While looking for hotels in Seam Reap we saw a lot of nice options and the key point that made us go for this one were the reviews about the amazing staff. Well, let me tell you that no review really truly can reflect how cozy, comfortable and happy you'll feel there. We were over the moon with this hotel and recommend it 100000%!!!!

We had a very late check in and they were very accommodating. Knew who we were and just led us to our rooms to relax and unwind. Our rooms were modern and clean. Beds were comfy and loved having the patio next to the pool. Owner/staff were great. As cliché as it sounds, we started as strangers and left as family. This is our preferred place in Siem Reap to stay. It's along the main road however hidden. Conveniently located to Sok San Rd/Pub St and anything else that you'll need. Looking forward to our return.

While staying at Metta residence my Husband enjoyed a nine night stay. The breakfast buffet was consistent each morning and lucky served us each day with a smile and fresh hot coffee. The rooms were clean daily and very spacious. The front desk was always hopeful. It was a bit moist at times. Tuk Tuk driver called Kimsun was extremely helpful and very generous, many evenings, he drove us around without asking for anything extra, which gave us a reason to provide him with a great tip. I do recommend this hotel for couples and families. The pool is beautiful and is in the sun until about 4 PM daily.

The hotel facilities I stayed at during this trip were very innovative and diverse. The service quality of the hotel is also very good. I give it a high rating of 10 points. However, I must mention that the cleanliness of the hotel needs to be improved, there are still stains on the mattress. It is hoped that the hotel can pay more attention to hygiene and ensure that guests can have a more comfortable and clean stay experience.

Apart from the exceptional service, I was particularly impressed with the hotel's amenities. The comfortable beds ensured a restful sleep, the delicious breakfast provided a great start to the day, and the fabulous pool offered a refreshing retreat. Furthermore, I was thrilled to receive a complimentary 30-minute massage, which I decided to extend due to its immense relaxation benefits. I also want to express my appreciation for the assistance I received from your staff in various other aspects. From arranging transportation to and from the airport to helping me mail out postcards, their support was invaluable. I couldn't have asked for more. In terms of location, The Sarai's proximity to the main shopping and restaurant area is incredibly convenient. The short tuk tuk ride or 10-minute walk ensured that I had easy access to all the attractions and amenities in the city. Additionally, I would like to mention the excellent tuk tuk drivers that your hotel has partnered with. These local drivers were not only knowledgeable about their beautiful city, but they also provided exceptional service and were readily available to show me around. Their passion for Siem Reap was evident, and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the city with their guidance. My experience at The Sarai has been nothing short of extraordinary. The combination of exceptional service, top-notch amenities, and a dedicated staff has made my stay truly memorable. I am grateful for the outstanding hospitality and will not hesitate to recommend The Sarai to anyone visiting Siem Reap. Thank you once again for providing me with a remarkable experience.

The hotel and staff were above excellent. I felt that the staff truly cared about their guests. The information from the staff is trustworthy and the English skills of the staff was very good. The rooms were very clean and the food was exceptional. The hotel is very close to Pub street and the room price is reasonable. I recommend this hotel.
