Villa Elda Boutique Hotel is a very intimate and quiet location right outside the city centre. I have to disagree with comments arguing that it’s far from the centre as it’s literally 5 minutes walking and under a very appreciated tree-shaded/wonderful-view road). This means 2 very important (and not to underestimate) things: you can easily reach it by car (your own or taxi - if your own car, ensure to book the private parking well in advance by calling the hotel as it’s just 2 car spaces) so no need to carry luggages up and down the inner city, and it’s super quiet because completely off track the tourists flows - and believe me, with how wonderful Siena is, tourism is at peak every day of the week. There are very few rooms, accessible by stairs only. Our suite room was superb (as you can see from the view of the window I took while laying in bed) very well maintained, clean and with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The breakfast area and the breakfast itself is limited due to the space that, because of the nature of the location itself, cannot allow for more capacity. But the selection is anyway good, with sweet and savoury options, and the service is super nice. Special mention goes to the staff, very kind, helpful and always with a pleasant smile. Don’t miss out the panoramic terrace on the third floor, it will fix into your mind unforgettable views, both day and night. Definitely a place worth to come back.

The location was not convenient to the center of the town. The breakfast buffet was limited and we had to be there at an assigned time.

I had a beautiful big, quiet room with doors opening to a balcony facing the old, walled city. I also had other windows that opened on that wall + on the adjacent room & bathroom. There was another divan type bed - which I used to open my bags. Abir, Alessandro & Michelle looked after me very warmly - from reception to breakfast & a drink served on the rooftop terrace. I stayed a very happy 4 nights. It was an easy walk downhill to the old city & meeting point for tours. There's no lift, so if you you have trouble with stairs you're out of luck (unless there are ground floor rooms). If you're on the larger side you may find the shower cubicle small, however the bathroom, as is the rest of the room, was very well appointed. The location was in a quiet residential neighborhood but close enough to the action of the old city which is bursting with interesting museums, restaurants, shops etc.

This is a beautiful hotel above the center city, so it is a fair walk downhill to get into the center (about 10-15 minutes). The upper rooms with a city view are spectacular! Wonderful beds, very helpful front staff who speak multiple languages. Breakfast in the lobby or in the garden offers varied choices and great coffee. The downstairs room in the annex building does not have any windows, just a door leading to the garden. In Room 2, downstairs in the main building, the door to the bathroom only opens part way because it scrapes against the floor. This is an easy fix -- it just needs to be shaved down. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is fit enough to walk up and down the multiple hills and staircases of central Siena!

I’m conflicted on my opinion for this property so I’ll give the good and bad. The location and proximity to Siena is very good. It’s about a 20 minute walk into town through a very upscale neighborhood. The room was ample size and the breakfasts were adequate as was the service. However, the shower was so small that you could barely turn around, and our room was up three flights of stairs making lugging our luggage up very difficult (no elevator or porters). I doubt I would select this property for our next Siena visit.

This hotel is the perfect place to stay while in Siena! It is a beautiful, pristine classic building in walking distance from all major sites. However, it is just far enough off the town center that you don't get the noise. The breakfast is delicious and the staff make you feel like you are exactly where you belong. The rooftop deck has some of the best views in the city! The room we stayed in was a nice size and offered all the personal luxuries we look for (air conditioning, comfortable bed, clean linens, a refrigerator, and a hair dryer for my wife)! If we are in Siena again we will stay here!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this little hotel. On our last day, when it was time to leave I wanted so much to absolutely refuse. We had such a wonderful time here. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and always a joy. We would take a bottle of wine up to the roof each evening to enjoy the stunning views and be thankful for that day's adventures. The room was gorgeous, spacious and had an incredible view of the doumo in Siena. We would leave the windows open to listen to the town as it slowly woke up each morning. We so loved staying here. Siena is a small town with much to do in and around it. This hotel alone would bring us back.

The hotel is an old mansion converted to a hotel and located just outside the old town. The location meant a 10 minute walk to get into the old town, but there were a lot of advantages being outside the old town, including the lovely accommodations (our room had a nice view of the old town on the hill) and relatively easy to reach the hotel or, as in our case, drive in and out as we toured other towns in the area. We had one of their deluxe rooms with balcony which was quite large with a separate entry room (although I saw some of the smaller rooms that looked like a postage stamp so be careful with choosing that for the price). It also had a small balcony you could step out on with the view of the town as I mentioned. The ceilings in our room where huge..must have been 15-20 feet high. Marble everywhere. The bathroom was reasonably large other than the shower..which as in many other converted hotels is like 2 feet by 2 feet. Not a lot of room for a bigger guy like me to move around…let alone bend over to pickup the soap, so keep that in mind. Bed was comfortable and the room had a nice desk with plugs available..as did each nightstand. They also have a nice garden, which I gather you can have breakfast in..except we had a bit of rain and it was a bit chilly in the morning so they served breakfast inside. The hotel website photos are indicative of the room we had and the hotel overall. We had reserved parking in advance..which was a good idea as they really only have one parking space. Breakfast buffet had a great selection of pastries, cakes, cheese, meat etc…just no hot food. Service..from the front desk staff to housekeeping..were all friendly, helpful and provided excellent service. Overall, I cannot think of any better hotel to choose when staying in Siena
