Travelodge by Wyndham Simcoe

I had a very comfortable stay at this Travelodge. The room was in great shape and nicely furnished. The mini-fridge kept things cold. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to a number of restaurants. Note that a breakfast is not included.

Nice comfortable room but should a better choice of pillows. Bathroom was very clean and workspace was fine. Very quiet in the section I was in, much appreciated. Personnel at the check-in was very polite and cordial. The waitress at the Hotel bar was very sympathetic.

I was traveling alone for a funeral in Delhi. My family had suggested this hotel. It is outdated but extremely clean. The staff that checked me in put me in a secure wing of the hotel. I felt very safe considering i was traveling alone. After returning back to my room from the funeral home, I found a card slipped under my door. It was a beautiful sympathy card for the passing of my family member. How beautiful. Thanks to the staff for taking very good care of me. The restaurant inside the hotel had a great breakfast as well. I would stay here again.

If you were planning on going to this hotel, I'll save you the trouble. Please don't. They charged us two nights when we only stayed one. Even though one of their employees said it was alright to checkout the next morning. We got charged an extra night of $250. When we tried to talk to them about it they were very hostile and hung up the phone. AWFUL customer service, better off going to best western or something

Simcoe is a small town so having a restaurant/bar attached to the hotel was nice. I'd been on a motorcycle for 11 hours and not having to hunt down food is important. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

It was a good location. Clean and needs carpet throughout 1st floor hall. The housekeeping cart was very noisy in the morning, not a pleasant way to wake up. You could hear people walking in the hall.

Initially we felt this hotel looked and felt like a motel, but it grew on us during our four night stay from the uk. Although undoubtedly needing redecoration and general upgrading, everything worked and the rooms are a good size. All staff were helpful and very pleasant. The large out front car park could be softened to make the approach look more inviting. Having the restaurant on-site was useful and we ate there one evening and three breakfasts.

A little pricey but worked for what I needed Beds were very firm, great for those who like firm beds, not so great for those who do not. Not a bad experience, would stay again if we were in the area..

BEWARE!!!! We were there for a hockey tournament. Friday late found crickets and these other bugs all over my room. Front counter lady Lindsay advised they were just bugs no need to change rooms. After arguing with her about it she reluctantly changed us rooms. Saturday our game wasn't until mid afternoon so we brought the team outside to play football. There is a huge field and picnic tables for so we even at lunch there. Lindsay advised that we should control our animals and take them to the dog park up the road. After the game, we went back about 7 the kids went for a swim after the swim a "long term resident" chases 4 kids grabs one and chokes and shakes him. Police of course are called and he is charged with assault on a minor. Even after instructions from the Police Lindsay does not want to remove him from the property. She advised us that he is a long term rental and that he should stay. The officer insisted he be removed. My son one of the 4 kids involved pushed our suitcase, hockey bag and chair in front of door to try and sleep. He has had nightmares every night since. Monday call the manager Ken who is not helpful or sympathetic of the situation and advise that bugs happen, that Lindsay did not mean our kids were dogs, and that they have a long term contract for the resident long before us and that he should not have been removed. This place is not safe for kids and not welcoming. DO NOT bring your kids there. The GM was fully aware of the Saturday evening events and still did not come to the hotel to check on his guests or his staff. There was no empathy for the situation.
