Best Hotels in Simpsonville

I really wanted to give this hotel an excellent review and was planning to until we went down to breakfast. We came to this hotel after leaving another close hotel we had planned to stay at. We were pleasantly greeted by the woman at the counter and the hotel looked and smelled very nice. I didn't get the woman's name but she was very helpful and really went over and above to make us feel very welcome and well taken care of. Would have liked the pool to be open longer than 9. (this is the reason we didn't make reservations at this hotel when planning out trip. We had called, and when we heard the pool closed at 9 we went elsewhere. BUT we still ended up at this one) Beds were great and room was clean and quiet. Breakfast looked like it WAS spectacular. But only if you got there early apparently. We went down with half hour left of ”breakfast time”. Everything was gone and nothing was refilled. Empty bowls, drink pitchers, hot trays, etc. The kitchen staff was in the kitchen and did not make an appearance on their own at all. A few people asked them for things and when asked they obliged but only would refill what was asked of them. It did not seem that the problem was running out of items because they opened a bag of eggs upon request from a guest and made another pitcher of apple juice for another guest. Kitchen staff were not helpful or courteous at all and should have been out there refilling and cleaning as most other hotels do. Food was all over the floors and tables were not wiped ever. The beautiful unique dining area was trashed and staff did nothing. As the ending time for breakfast approached the staff was watching their clocks and the second the time changed they came out finally just to close the doors to the food. There were still guests sitting and eating at this time but the doors closed quickly with no notice. As soon as the doors closed it was obvious what the staff's mind was really on. Not helping guests but feeding themselves. Many staff members starting swarming in to eat. Suddenly it seemed there was food for all. But unfortunately not for the guests who were there in plenty of time to actually eat breakfast during the ”breakfast time”. I am really hoping that what we experienced was just an off day with rude staff who didn't want to serve their guests and that hopefully it is normally a very good breakfast. What could have been a great stay was ruined by the lazy rude staff at breakfast.

Great day staff. Evening staff somewhat of Motley Crew. Two geese has taken up residence and we had to really watch not stepping in or rolling our luggage in geese droppings that were everywhere. I was a little concerned about the temperament of the larger one and had to walk backwards and keep an eye on it. He was squawking and walking up behind me. Also I woke the next morning with sweet ants on the night stands and one crawling on my hand and a few on the bed. We had no food in the room so it was possibly the guest before us left sweet morsels that attracted them. The bed was comfy but no exhaust fan in the bathroom so we opted to use the lobby restroom as to avoid any odors with my co-worker/friend.

I travel as a teacher with students quite often. Selecting a hotel is one of the most difficult parts of planning travel. I was recommended to try the Aloft by Marriot in Louisville. This stay was awesome. We had to arrive late and our room keys and everything were prepared in advance which made checking in easy. Ryan at the front desk was very professional and a great guy. The rooms were spotless and some of my students commented that this was ”The nicest hotel we've ever stayed in.” I was impressed and I will definitely use this hotel again. I didn't get to try the pool but it is a great looking indoor pool.

From the initial interaction with the front desk staff, Cody and Juan made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. The room was great, the beds were comfortable and we slept so well after a long day at the waterpark. We got up, breakfast was free and so good, they even had a teddy bear waffle maker, it was so nice, Jayden I believe her name was that was helping with breakfast was smiling and pleasant and made sure nothing ran out and was on top of everything, she was amazing too! The pool area was comfortable and big enough to enjoy, seating was good, it was an overall excellent experience for me and all the kids I brought with me! I am an absolute hotel snob, but I loved this place. From check in to check out, I had not one bad thing to say about the facility, the staff, the food, or location. I even stayed an extra two nights I was so happy with it! I would 100% recommend and will be booking here for ALL future stays in KY or the area. Thank you especially to Cody and Juan for making what started out as a rough vacation, so much better, you too were absolute angels to me and my family. Thank you again!

Sept 22 stay issues: no hot water unless you take a shower at odd times , dusty room, had to be changed rooms. We Didn’t learn our lesson, see Dec and Jan stays. Dec 22 stay issues: Long hairs in the sheets when we check in the first room. Clearly DIRTY SHEETS again told the front desk, crickets. No hot water in the second room unless you take a shower at like 5 pm. Jan 23 home for my stepmom’s funeral, no hot water, dusty room, and rude staff at the bar and front desk After staying here for the last 10 plus years, we have to find a new home for our trips home to Kentucky. Emailed corporate and crickets. I’m pissed. It’s been going down quickly the last 2 years and no one Cares. I wish I could post the videos of the sheets. It shows how awful they really were. I’m started to wonder if they are putting us in the worst rooms on purpose. Odd way to treat platinum members or any members period. Ever since we complained about our suv being broken into in Memphis Marriott.

I have never in all my life been treated in such an appalling manner then at Wingate East Louisville Kentucky! I came back to Louisville Kentucky from Italy to bury my mother I was jet lagged, grieving and quite ill. I am disabled and had my service dog with me who offers seizure alert. apparently before my mother's funeral the manager Nanette Davis Called called, and told me my service dog was not a service dog because they had found poop in the room on the towels. While I embarrassing to admit I was quite ill and suffering from extreme diarrhea so my poor Kiki dog got blamed to it. When I returned home I was exhausted and running to the toilet but I was stopped my woman at he desk who told me she could not let me go back into the room. Needless to say I became very upset, soiled myself and was not allowed to clean myself nor retrieve my processions! I had to call the police to get my belongings back!!!

Breakfast is good, parking is OK, the extra bed is not clear, the environment is quite quiet.
