I loved the artistic elements that went into the overall decor, and really appreciated that!
Apart from that, I didn’t have enough time to explore the hotel for a business travel but it was very decent. Thank you for the warm hospitality.
Downside was the parking, which we still had to pay

The location was pretty good, there were nice bars/clubs and affordable food like Maxwell FC. A few minutes walk to Maxwell metro and probably 10 minute walk to Outram metro. The room was decent with ample space to put luggage, and it was nice to have a cushion area to sit around, too. The toilet was too small, with little to no space to move when opening the door to the shower area. There’s no bidet nor heated seats in the toilet bowl. Shower pressure and instant heat were pretty good. The soundproof for the room is decent, and the heavy room door slamming and walking sounds from the rooms above can be heard. The swimming pool is pretty small, probably good for taking photos of the overview of Maxwell and not good as a lap pool with short height and length. The room service was quick to answer my requests, unfortunately, there's no laundromat, but there are laundry services. All in all, for its location and price point, its still quite a good hotel to stay in.

Great location, five minutes walk to Maxwell MRT. Lots of restaurants around. Room is not big but clean. But the breakfast is just simple. Top roof view excellent.

Location:
The location is excellent, surrounded by numerous shops and restaurants, making it convenient for dining.
Staff & Service:
The staff were not friendly, and it was evident the hotel was understaffed. Everyone seemed stressed and unhappy, which affected the overall atmosphere. When we arrived at 12 PM to check in, we knew it wasn’t check-in time yet and were fine to return later. However, when we asked the front desk staff what time we should come back, the response was a curt, “I don’t know, check-in time is 3 PM.” While technically correct, this isn’t the kind of service I expect from a 5-star hotel, especially compared to our previous stay at another luxury hotel.
Room:
The room was relatively small, especially the bathroom, which felt cramped. To make matters worse, we found a toothbrush under the bed (see photo), which made me question whether the room had been properly cleaned at all.
Breakfast Experience:
Breakfast was a disaster. We booked a package that included breakfast for two, but when we lined up outside the restaurant, we were told by staff that our package didn’t include it. We were asked to leave, which was both embarrassing and frustrating. After clarifying the issue with the front desk, it was confirmed that breakfast was indeed included, but it was clear the hotel had made an error in their records.
Even after resolving the issue, the breakfast itself was very disappointing. The selection was extremely limited, with no egg station—a surprising omission for a 5-star hotel. The coffee machine was slow, with long waits for below-average coffee. My husband asked a staff member for tea, as there was no tea station or hot water available, and was met with a long face, as if he had asked for something unreasonable.
Overall:
This hotel did not live up to the 5-star standard it advertises. The unfriendly staff, unclean room, disorganized breakfast, and lackluster service left us feeling extremely disappointed. While the location is great, that was one of the only positives in an otherwise underwhelming stay. I would not recommend this hotel and certainly wouldn’t return.

Good place to stay very convinient , only down side was i did request to have a surprise complimentary like welcome to singapore and happy anniversary to my parents but unfortunately didnt arrange any decors to my room.
As a 5star hotel, could be better.

This hotel was clean, comfortable and in a great location. The staff were great and really looked after us. Loved the rooftop pool and bar. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is beautifully presented and so well located in the heart of Chinatown. Everything is at your doorstep. Every staff member was super friendly and accommodating of our needs. The rooftop pool and bar is excellent, with amazing views overlooking downtown Singapore. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in Singapore!

Booked for my mom and dad when they came over from Sydney to visit. Mondrian guests are mainly Caucasians, didn’t find anything special about the room. Hallway feels claustrophobic. I find that it’s quite inconvenient have to take a lift to lobby and walk again to catch another lift to room. Location wise it’s close to Tanjong pagar, Chinatown etc. I think would suit younger guests than guests my parent’s age 50+. Won’t say the service or amenities are any impressive, my dad did a swim and there was something sharp that cut his foot in the pool. He notified the staff concern on safety for other guest. Hotel didn’t really do much in terms of service or follow up.

I stayed at Mondrian during my first trip to Singapore, and it was absolutely perfect. The hotel is beautifully designed — stylish interiors, a photogenic lobby, and a rooftop pool with a stunning city view. The view from the pool was definitely one of the highlights of my trip!
The staff were all very kind and helpful, making the entire stay feel smooth and welcoming. The location was also super convenient for sightseeing and exploring the city. I swam both in the morning and at night — it felt so refreshing!
I would absolutely love to stay here again next time I visit Singapore. Highly recommended!

There's a night club nearby. Our room is located on the 6th floor, we still can hear the beats and can't fall asleep. We had to change to another room on the 7th floor... Btw, the night club ends at 2am on weekends....
