The Barracks Hotel Sentosa by Far East Hospitality

The environment was very quiet, so we had a great rest. The location is also good; we could walk to the beach, and there's a free shuttle bus right outside to Universal Studios. The hotel's afternoon tea every day was decent, the food taste was average, but the drinks were good. A special thanks to Vivien, who spoke excellent Chinese and was very enthusiastic and helpful. We'd love to come back if we have the chance!

The hotel is small with no facilities, so it's not really a family-friendly hotel. If you're traveling with kids, you should choose a hotel with a playground. The cleanliness wasn't great; there was hair in the bathroom, but since I was only staying one night, I didn't bother mentioning it. The receptionist was alright, but didn't really stand out compared to other hotels. Both breakfast and afternoon tea were just mediocre, not as good as I'd imagined, and I only had a couple of bites. However, they did prepare a small cake upon request. I wouldn't really recommend it for the price; maybe if you have money to spare, go for it. Next time, I'll probably go for something like a Shangri-La; compared to resort hotels in China, this one falls far short.

It's decent for an island hotel, but I think they forgot to refund my deposit, which is a bit of a bummer. I wish they'd accept cash deposits and return them on the spot.

The room was fantastic and spotless! The environment was incredibly quiet and private, and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast every morning. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. The location on Sentosa was great, very close to the beach.

The room isn't huge, but it's very clean and the style is exactly what I like. The ground-floor pool room makes swimming super convenient. Both breakfast and afternoon tea were exquisite, and they even offered free refills on the drinks during afternoon tea!
