This hotel is in a very central location, just a 10-minute walk to Merlion Park, making transportation super convenient. I last stayed here in 2017, and after its renovation, I decided to return. They've moved the lobby from the first floor to the third, and the rooms feel much more refined post-renovation. Overall, it's convenient for getting around and offers great value for money!

Great location and comfortable rooms! It's only a 5-minute walk to the subway station, 15 minutes to Clarke Quay, and about 20 minutes to Merlion Park. Excellent value for money.

Overall, I'm very satisfied. The location is convenient; the nearest subway station is just a short walk away, and there's a 7-Eleven nearby, which is very handy. **Facilities:** There's only one power outlet under one of the nightstands, and the room lighting is a bit dim. **Hygiene:** The showerhead might be a bit old. **Environment:** Excellent. The decor is very modern and distinctive. **Service:** Great. Whether staff who speak Chinese are available depends on the shift.

Staying at GPCH was such a wonderful experience! Here are some of the moments worth mentioning. I enjoyed using the bathtub. It was clean (no water spots or dust), easy to fill, and I love the deep curve shape that it had. It is one of the better-shaped bathtubs that I’ve seen. Loving the Appelles toiletries. They smelled good and always remind me of Australia and their lovely range of eco-friendly bathroom products such as Aesop, Ideology, Le Labo, and Appelles. It’s great that quite a number of hotels use these products. Bathrobe was comfy too! Water pressure from the shower was fine for me, despite what some reviews may say of how it constantly changes. It didn't for me. I love the iconic fleur-de-lis pattern of the bathroom/room flooring (also seen at other parts of the hotel), and optional see-through bathroom to bedroom view that makes it so easily recognisable when you see them on socials. Optional being, you can draw the automated blinds if need be. The iconic design of the flooring, to me also feels very classy and gives it a very English, almost Jane Austen, aristocratic feel. Touch control panel for lighting/ac in the room was easy to use. Though perhaps I do wish there was a way to reduce the ac to below 20. Throughout my stay, it only fell to 19.6 once before constantly rising to 20-21 degrees. It definitely felt hotter than that. Room, furnishings and amenities (such as the fridge, kettle, water machine) were very clean, not dusty, and also didn’t look as weathered despite its age. I did however find an unused disposable eye drop under the bed as I was making it, perhaps dropped by a previous guest. Pillows provided were alright for me too, and I didn’t require any from changes from the plethora of pillows on offer on their pillow menu. I am also glad that the hotel did not have one of those decorative cushions that no one actually uses, so there was no need to put those aside. I enjoyed the crystal club privileges very much! Level 9 was very peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was absolutely lovely! The muffins that came with the eggs benedict were so melt-in-your-mouth soft, I can never look at another muffin the same way again. I will dream about those muffins forever! Also love their range of cheeses (blue, camembert, brie) which was there almost throughout the day. Cheese is life! The alcohol range for their evening cocktail was alright too, allowing us to make either a gin and tonic, rum with coke, or have drinks neat like a vodka neat. Pool at Level 4 was great! It’s not often that a pool has a nice view, and sometimes not even some of the 5-star hotels have a good pool view. But GPCH does! The pool overlooks the temple-like roof Chinese Chamber of Commerce building, which gives it rather quaint, tranquil and iconic look. An unmatched view so to speak, accentuated by the hotel’s luscious flora and nature decor. A Shangri-La sort of feel! I love it! Roof top of the hotel offered a nice view of Esplanade and MBS, which was nice, though I still feel the pool is a nicer place to chill at! The staff of GPCH are super friendly and I am forever grateful for their hospitality! From the housekeeping team, to the very attentive and friendly folks at Level 9 lounge. Check in and check out was a breeze too! It was nice to finally stay at GPCH albeit for only night, having only recced the rooms or sat at the lobby before, due to work. It is understandable why it’s been used by many artist management for their groups and bands. Each stay feels like you’ve entered in a private club. Beautifully quiet. The hotel is dignified and polished in a way that makes it a comfortable stay that you will remember in the long run. It does not stand out loudly among its neighbours, but it is in its hidden aspects where you find its gems. Where the words more is less and less is more, this rings especially true for GPCH. Its quiet, introspective detail to human needs is what makes them shine! Thank you Jeane, Audrey and team fo

Strategic location walking distance to Clark Quay. The twin bed is little bit small for 4 pax. However, the streets are full of foreign workers blocking the walkway on Sunday, pretty scary walking through the crowd.

The biggest plus for this hotel is its proximity to many attractions – it's within walking distance and also convenient for the subway. Singapore isn't that big anyway, so that helps. The breakfast is the same every day, but for Chinese guests, they offer congee, fried dough sticks (youtiao), and stir-fried noodles, which I think is acceptable. My main complaint is how difficult check-in was. The front desk staff kept typing on the computer for ages before finally handing me a room card. I asked if it was a king-size bed, and she said yes, but when I got to the room, it was a twin room. I had to go back to the front desk to get it changed to a king-size room, which was really frustrating. I'm not sure if the person who checked me in had poor English or Mandarin. Also, there are no power outlets by the bed, only by the sofa. The hairdryer's cord had some exposed copper wires, which made me worried about an electric shock. They've also replaced the original plug with a three-prong one, but the bathroom outlet is two-prong, so I had to blow-dry my hair outside the bathroom. With so few outlets available, it meant I couldn't charge my phone while drying my hair. For a hotel at this price point, I think these issues really bring down the quality. It's advertised as five-star, but I honestly think it's more like four-star. The only real advantage is the location; everything else is just mediocre and doesn't compare to hotels in China.

The hotel's location is superb, right next to Funan Mall and close to Fort Canning Park. It's within walking distance to Raffles City and incredibly convenient for reaching Suntec City, Marina Bay, and Clarke Quay. Its excellent connectivity is definitely the hotel's biggest highlight; you can even overlook these landmarks while swimming in the hotel pool. The rooms are also quite spacious. I booked a Premier room, which came with both a shower and a bathtub, though the water pressure was a bit weak and the shower wasn't powerful enough. The king-size bed was very comfortable, and the furniture had a retro, slightly dated feel. The front desk on the 3rd floor and the luggage storage/taxi service on the 1st floor were both good. My only dissatisfaction was with the hotel's breakfast buffet. The restaurant space was small and cramped, closely connected to the 3rd-floor front desk, making it uncomfortably close to guests checking in, which seems below standard. Furthermore, the breakfast variety wasn't rich enough and lacked local delicacies. The only highlight was the smoked salmon. So, my recommendation is to choose this hotel but opt out of the breakfast option.

This hotel is decent. The location is quite convenient, but the hotel itself is a bit old. I hope the facilities get an upgrade. If they do, I would choose this hotel again.

Excellent hotel for a small price. The location is convenient, with all types of transport nearby, both buses and the subway, making it easy to get everywhere. Marina Bay is truly within walking distance, and it's pleasant to stroll there in the evening. We swam in the pool both morning and evening; there were either no people or just a couple of others. Next to the hotel, there's a shopping center with a currency exchange offering good rates, and cafes with local cuisine, cheap seafood, smoothies, and fruits. The selection is good, and prices are reasonable. The room had everything necessary, from toiletries and tea to slippers and a bathrobe. Overall, the hotel is very pleasant, and the front desk staff are friendly. On the ground floor, you could take umbrellas for free, and we left our luggage for free upon check-out. It's convenient to get to/from the airport.
